in my RT 1.4 i got 500 miles to 1 1/2 tanks, can someone work that out please lol im too lazy, and knowing me ill bugger up the numbers. not totally sure on the RT tank capacity either
my RT gets up to the 3rd mark, ive been told this is normal, but im not liking it one bit, is there anywhere i can get a lower temperature thermostatic switch from?

i got the same problem mate, noticed some old oil residue on my spark plugs when i cleaned em up and checked if they were alright, then after a 400 mile trip i check and plug 1 is full up with oil, and all down the engine is a trail of oil, all along the gear linkage aswell. not much oil was...
hehe im taking good care of it, taking it to a place just up the road from where i work to get a mount made up and fitted to hold the mid section up more, the clamp just catches speedbumps.
absolutely loving it, and the tailpipe design, when it pops makes a little sorta mushroom cloud around...

Im unsure exactly of where the oil is coming from but it is in the spark plug recess so im assuming its coming down...

Hi all, after finding oil in the spark plug recesss on my 1.4 energy lump, ive got a sneaky suspicion its the rocker cover gasket thats gone.
Can someone have a look on the dialogys and tell me the price of a new one, if its not too steeper price i might even buy it from renault, as no auto...

well the last owner neglected the engine, it had a rebuild, but also had a bad turn of overheating (no coolant in the system!!)

After a long trip yesterday ive noticed some oil in the spark plug surroundings, this is on the 1.4 energy lump.
Would this be a rocker cover gasket going, or something warped?

nah just make sure u got a socket set, head should be around 12mm, i got some m8x40s on mine but am thinkin about getting some shorter ones, is a pain to change the cat with hardly any space around to get a socket etc around it
u should be alright mate, mine really starts to vibrate around 5000rpm, idling is alot lumpier now, which causes vibration thru the gear stick.
Its pretty normal to me, so u should be alright too, driven 700 miles so far (only been on a week) and all is good, got used to it.
that kit on ebay would prolly require alot of work, as im bodykitting a 5 door, and the rear arch stretches along the place where the rear arch/wing would go.
Im from gillingham, so wouldnt mind doing the trip, ill let u know mate, just pricing up some stuff, hoping i can save a few quid on...
how much u looking for the bumper mate coz i would consider it if i can pick up a set of valver wings
also where u from, as i dont trust the couriers etc lol had a bad delivery once, the item was completely smashed up
and would it come with mesh and foggies?
i was gonna buy the whole kit for 495, front bumper,rear bumper, skirts, mesh and fogs.
Only problem is yours is a 16v which means the bumper would require some modification, or me getting 16v wings, which would prolly look rather stupid on a 5 door.

i used an old "buggered" cat i had, poked all the sh*t out of it and thats just a straight thru, get quite a bit of vibration, i put it down to the fact that its an empty chamber.
Gonna invest in a proper one soon, im too pikey to do so at the moment lol

i am considering investing a bit of my hard earned cash on a GPS camera warning system, i.e a pocketpc with tomtom installed.
Anyone got any ideas or any cheap places that sell bundles.
also watch out, especially when pulling on the plastic, its bloody sharp, sliced up all my fingers, looked like id run a knife straight across my hands.
