I just set it up by eye mate, Ideally you need somewhere with laser allignment but theres no where decent in the north east for it, I wouldnt take it to revolution
Its running mega rake atm mate, wound the bilsteins quite far down on the front, took the adjusters out the back but because its stripped out its got nothing over the rear end to adjust the ride height so its running nose down with not much ground clearence.
Going to sort it out tonight as I'm...
My Car is quite a bit lower than jons haha, like a ground clearence of 2" max on the front end.
Need to adjust it though and make it sensible, thinking I will bite the bullet and turn up to shields, I cant run from the place forever, however bad the memories are :(
Will give shields a miss, car is rather low and I cba with the speed bump / scrape situation.
If people still want to come to dragonville I'll be there, dont want to be gatecrashing a sax-p meet. Unless the sax-p lot fancy coming to dragonville which would be good, last time we were at shields...
That particular sunflower which belongs to craig is still in bits iirc, he's got 2 sunflowers, one with about 50k on it which is pictured with the v6 spoiler, the other sunflower is the supercharged one :)
Had my first drive of it tonight, its quite nippy with just the one seat in it, running standard exhaust atm so the flow rate isnt as good, choking the old boy up, still didnt fail to disapoint.
Update:
Today saw me finally get my act together and get the cup back together.
I'm not completely finished, however I have spent 8 hours on it getting everything done properly.
I've fitted all my carbon parts, trophy spoiler, front bumper, doorcards, a-pillars, bonnet
The parts that took...
Whats the spec of the cup mark?
It's worth knowing what the spec is to see what its worth in bits, if its got some nice goodies on it you're sure to make more money back off breaking it, then scrapping the shell.
If you've got a garage/storage facilities, I'd have yourself a weekend on it...
Loving the work phil, was thinking of going for an oreca exhaust but when mine gets a sniff of boost 2.25" IMO will restrict it. Going custom 2.5" with a slightly similar tip to the oreca.
You should be ok, however I'd prefer to get some custom springs made, send off your rear eibachs, tell them you want the same spring rate just a slightly shorter spring, job done, then you wont be upsetting the balance putting a different spring rate on the rear that could either be...
Loving the work lewis, wish I had the motivation to get my arse in the garage and sort out the cup, wish I'd known you had those spacers and studs as I would've got them off you when I was down....oh well
They probably are sitting at the right height, probably because of the extra rake created from the lower front end due to the top mounts will be your answer to it looking higher.
Personally I'd rather it was another 10mm lower it will stop the rear being flighty as well
100% agree with you mate, I had my race on with the cat still in place and it did my head in, great if its a weekend/track toy but for any kind of motorway driving you just end up looking like an idiot
I used to have a set of springs that were custom made around the eibach sportline profile.
I would get yourself a set of custom springs knocked up that are around 10-15mm shorter.
Have you tried sitting in the back of it to try and bed them in a little?
That meant to say 'safe' btw lol.
I will go for the pure kit then, sounds like they're tough enough and up to the job, will report back with my findings when I get them
Looks to be spot on thanks again gray and chip.
One last question, I'm potentially going to be running between 15mm>20mm spacers, will i need to get longer studs for these, as I know with some spacers you need longer wheel bolts.
Cheers
OK Cheers chip, so when you torque the wheels up i.e on the nuts, does that help the stud itself torque into the hub itself?
I'm not 100% clue'd up so I may sound a bit stupid lol
