Any ideras on how much it would cost to do the front bumper and bonnet as I have quite a few deep stone chips (after trackdays) and a dirty little scuff.
Very easy pal, if kwikfit can teach some spotty monkey to do it for you I'm sure you will be fine.
Dump old oil, remove filter, fit new filter, replace sump plug, fill with new oil. Job done
Yes when you buy Koni rear dampers you get everything you need, including the rubber bungs.
Mine didnt come with rubber shock covers, I just robbed them from my old ones.
If you search for my car in the project threads, you will see pics of what you get.
Hope this helps
No, you weld up the hole in your decat (make yourself a little 1p coin size bit of steel), then fit the sleeve over the lambda sensor and zip tie up out of the way. Job done.
I have been told that the carbon lorraine pads are the best you will get without buying 4 pots.
Andy from GDI recommended them to me when I asked about the Willwoods they sell. He uses them on his track car and said that they can never get them to fade and the stopping power is more than...
Sorry didn't read what car you had. You can glaze pads in a matter of a few minutes if you give them enough stick. I honestly doubt it will be front discs, if you can't feel anything in the steering wheel. How old are the rear discs? could be the rear disc wheel bearing.
I would say pads or shoes, it won't be discs if you cant feel it through the steering wheel. How hard are you on your brakes, if you give your car a bit of enthusiastic driving you could have glazed your pads, or just worn them out pal.
yeah, i put a bit of loctite on the thread, then wound it down hand tight, I then ran the wire along the underside of the car, close to the handbrake cable, but not too close for obvious reasons, job done.
You will get the cat light on every so often, its like once every couple of months. Its...
you can do, but you are risk from corrosion, and they heat up to some stupid temperature, so you may find they burn through your tie wrap, or string ;), and they are not too cheap. www.gmcmotorsport.co.uk iirc sell them for £15.
No you get a cat light coming on, because the second lambda sensor measures your cats performance, if there is no cat there, then the sensor thinks its fucked, and puts a light on for you. If its in a sleeve, the sensor thinks you engine is putting out fresh air, no light on!
Lol like you need years of experience to get a rod, cut it to size and weld some round things on the end. I bought mine and couldn't believe how simple it was. I could teach my dog how to make one. I shall get some measurement tomorrow for you pal.
I have some pics in my project thread if you do...
Here is a few pics from this weekends adventures at the 'ring.
It was my first time there, and what a place! If you are even slightly interested in cars then you need to have a weekend there it is fantastic!
Anyway....
And finally the guy...
When I decated my 182 I welded a disc over the rear lambda sensor hole, and put the lambda sensor in a sleeve, this stopped my little orange light coming on and telling me my cat was fooked. you can get the sleeves from gmc motorsport.
the ones I have are a little too small to completely go around the clio badge without missing a bit off. Also the white one is the 'new' style with 'nurburgring' typed into it.
