Had a good day on her yesterday.
Fabricated a panel for the battery isolation switch
Removed the imobiliser
fitted glove box
fitted door bins
relocated the fire extinguisher
bought and fitted a load of bungs
fitted a black sunstrip as we don't deserve the Northloop one, not yet anyway
and...
I had a lap in it round the 'ring last year, in fairness I think it might be a while before it goes round there quite as quick as he did.
We don't really have any plans to improve the setup as yet, we just want to make it a good example and get plenty of use. Ed did do rather a good job on...
It was indeed Ed's, he did a good job on her, we just plan to maintain her and make her look a little more standard, with Rallye graphics etc.
The acceleration is great, it tops out at 120-125 but it gets there quicker than my 182. The box is perfect for track days as you don't need top end...
This is my S1 Rallye my dad and myself bought in August. It's a pre done track car that we plan to maintain and generally rag around track.
We have plenty planned for her, but here is how she was when we bought her.
Engine
106 GTI engine
1.3 box with Quaiffe LSD
Raceland induction kit
Mocal...
Your right, but will you notice the difference? I doubt it, very much.
Best off just saving for a proper cage, it will provide a lot more rigidity and a lot more safety.
And it will stop you looking like some gay chav ;)
In which case I wouldn't bother wasting money on a show cage.
Just save money for a proper cage and have a look and sit in a clio with a cage fitted to see if you like it.
Show cages are gay.
Car looks awesome dude.
What brakes and tyres are you using?
Saw one of these in white at Snetterton, however he binned it after 2 laps. :-(
Went home on a trailer
No it's not perfect, but not the worst thing about my Clio.
Personally I find the melting steering wheel the worst issue, I find it rather poor that Renault can't make a wheel that doesn't fall apart after 3 years. My dad had a series 2A Landrover with a better steering wheel.
Yeah, I am toying with the idea of ITB's, so the ecu and loom from ebay is £700, plus the cost of getting the loom made to measure. Far cheaper than 2k from K-tec. Then I just need to sort out some bodies.
LOL, did somebody get of bed the wrong side??
As for my attention span and vocabulary, it's fine, but thanks for your concern.
I just don't think it's that bad, yes it may be a little high (also from someone who is quite tall) but certainly not bad enough to be the worst part of...
Saw this on ebay...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OMEX-600-competition-engine-management-ecu_W0QQitemZ300371985308QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item45ef90c39c
Providing you could get a loom made up, could this work? Is an Omex 600 a generic ecu just mapped to the...
I have to lol at that!
w**k driving postion?? Steering wheel infront, pedals down the bottom and a gear stick to your left, its hardly mental is it.
I swear most people just copy and paste what JC says.
If it's just a fast 'b' road car your after stick with what you have.
Whats the point in selling that, to buy a trophy that in the grand scheme of things isn't that much better.
It's only 2 front dampers after all, and as said in a previous post, you can buy them on ebay as and when they...
