Yep. That is what I thought. I have a few other O2's at home so will swing one in tonight and see if it changes the light
Other observation is that this thing is banging out of the exhaust........and it never did. Not "pops and bangs" banging but say letting it run down in 2nd or 3rd from high...
It is bud............while sitting in traffic i threw on my "worlds cheapest piece of turd bluetooth OBD reader" from the glovebox............it does server a purpose sometimes :P
that is where i got the error code from
popped up both O2 outputs in torque (the traffic was BAD) and the rear O2...
Still haven't managed to grab any logs yet, sorry about that.
Total fart this morning though as I approached the end of my street.
Went to pull out from the end of the junction, car running fine....cold and lumpy but usual. Pushed the pedal to go and......................nothing. Didn't...
You have no idea how much this EXACT thing stressed me after I sorted the aux belt.......................I had convinced myself she was gonna blow
After half an hours stressing, I realised the same was loose. I hate the fuel rail guard. lol.

Thanks for the responses guys, apologies for the delays.
Driving the car now a few weeks since the main issues were seemingly sorted and you know what, i still feel hesitation and holding back at low rpm and light pedal situations
Car will kangaroo like a lunatic in stop start traffic, say in...
Ok. all connections pulled and cleaned where needed, given a good coating of the connection cleaner, allowed to dry and refitted so we will see how it goes.
Had a good old hoke around the cables too and can't see any obvious breaks or anything but I appreciate it would not typically be visible...
I don't think so @Louis
Was super careful when putting it all back together to make sure everything ignition related had room to move.
What about this is as a Servisol alternative @STEVE.M ...
Rodger that................this evenings activity is now booked. :)
Never really gave the engine bay fuse box wiring the "go-over" it deserved though, especially the white plug so that is the first port of call
Cheers guys

By means of an update, I popped into the car which had been sitting for a while yesterday and after I started it, the little rectangle with zig-zag dash light came on.
I noticed that it would not rev at all when this was on
Turned it off and back on (standard IT support approach) and it was...
FYI. Tensioner rock solid. On the money @bloke
Pulled it and freed it (using bolts to avoid marking the insert and a little atf). Reinstalled and the noise is gone. Surprisingly awkward job to be fair but at least now I know how to do the aux belt.
Will be replacing with new aux kit as soon...
Righto, Clio project is still progressing and while I do still have some hesitancy issues (to be picked up with a parts swap with a fellow board member) my attention has been turned to my gearbox.
It is quite simply, pishing oil and yes, I know that is common. I have a gearbox refurb exercise...
I really love the Ktec S/S Stealth that is on mine.................i didn't choose it, it was on the car when I bought ages ago so can hardly compare but I think it is perfect :)
Right gents................while I am at it................I AM MOTIVATED HERE so bear with me.
I have a knock in my n/s drive train somewhere............specifically on a cobbled road is when it raises its head. Screams of steering/suspension to me but I just want to sound it out.
I have a...
stop.
its not keyed to the crank on a 172 either but taking it off without locking all the timing up will blow the timing out
on a 172 this is the only thing that holds the crank sprocket in time on the crank.
i dont know if that is the case with this engine but check first
Is water pump not on the aux side..........
*edit* sorry, it is on RS models......i see this is a 1.4 but there REALLY should be something obvious making that din.
says the person who is pissed of with squealing belts AND IS DOING NOTHING ABOUT IT!
:)
