I was there today mate passenger in mates cars, the standards of driving were pretty poor, people not moving over when they were clearly slower etc.
Your Cup seemed to be going very well, looked great out on track.
Here's a dash top I did for a member in here - flocked dash with standard side vents, screen vents and tweeter covers....
And here's a (poor) picture of my Cup's dash, fully flocked with light grey binacle inserts with shift light and blue dash trims....
And the horn button :o
And a...
Fabricated custom mounts to the standard subframe, fitted my bucket seat then retrimmed it to better match the Cup. (This was Friday, not today!)
Sits pretty high so PH 2 will be new subframe :)
Yep, good turn out. I think I got done by the sneeky speed camera van hiding round one of the corners tho :(
Tried warning everyone else who we passed on the way back up, hopefully I'll have slowed down in time before they got me!! Time will tell.
If any one from the Newcastle area wants to meet up with me I'll be travelling down the A69, off at Langley Castle then up thru Alston and up to the cafe to meet everyone else. Let me know and we'll arrange something :)
Not much to report with this unfortunately. I sold my 888's as its became clear I now no longer have the funds for trackdays :( The car has become a daily driver due to ill health, but tbh its made me ralise how good the car is and how much I love it :)
I had a training course in Kendal in...
Was up over Penrith last night, spotted you three on your way towards Hartside with a Corsa VXR. On the way back stopped for a photo at the Cafe and you were all up there. Was in my mates Merc, was gonna take my Clio but he was delivering parts and wanted to save on the fuel costs so took his...
Nothing much has changed with this due to a shortage of cash, but I have had the Turnini's refurbed the original silver. Hopefully will have some more mods carried out soon, as well as refurbing the 2118's. Here's how the car currently stands:
In the last picture of the head it looks as if there is a piece of casting broken off? Never had one apart tho so don't know if it's manufactured rough like that?
With Christmas over with and funds slowly getting back to reasonable I've managed to make a small change to the Cup. I originally bought and fitted a Cartek Sequential shift light, but despite much messing about was never able to get it to operate properly on the Clio, it would flash randomly...
I fitted a sequential shift light to my 172 Cup but removed it after a week as it was very erratic. Mostly when slowing down it would flash like crazy, so returned it to the manufacturer. Dunno if it was just that particular type but it was basically no good. The manufacturer said they've had...
In which way? Did they wear the disc down quickly? The discs seems to be wearing ok, certainly no faster than I'd expect, but the pads are leaving black outlines of the pad shape on the disc after its stood while still damp etc. Although the marks are there they're not really affecting...
I'm using EBC Bluestuff in the front of mine, find them brilliant from cold, and have never managed to make them fade on the track day I did. Pad wear is also very good, they are lasting very well. I have Yellowstuff on the rears, which we all know do very little braking, and they seem to be...
I had a similar issue and went for a flat wheel. I reckon a 3" dish would be almost 3" closer than a standard wheel. You can get smaller dish's but I opted for flat cos I'm short and have to sit quite close anyway :/ Where abouts in Newcastle are you? Could have a look at mine sometime if you like?
Exactly my thoughts as I read it on the system at work!!

That's the official wording, parts with a black line next to them are new this year - not sure what...
