Another small update - fitted the 888's to the 15's and decided it would be a good idea to check there were no issues with them before using them on a track day, so am gonna run them on the road for a day or two.
Obviously can't really go testing their performance benefits properly, but turn...
Nice mate - take it you bought this from a place in Newburn? I road tested it a couple of times, but ultimately wanted a blue one, and they were askin way to much for it at the time. I saw it weeks later advertised at a much lower price! Hope you got it for a bargain!
I can't honestly compare, as I've never used the DS2500. I cam say tho I'm so far very pleased with what I've got! It's just under 3 weeks til the track day so I'll have a better idea of them then, but they already feel very good!
Thanks mate, hopefully I can keep enough money each month to...
Been a long while coming with an update, but I've been gathering parts, and today got round to fitting them with the help of my mate and his ramp!
Here's the parts:
EBC Bluestuff front pads, Yellowstuff rear pads, Brembo High Carbon discs, Goodridge braided hoses, and ATE Super Blue Racing...
Yes mate! I've read some reviews saying it's not yellow metal safe, so am a bit unsure, but Stu was saying they've used it in all sorts and never had problems, just wanted to see if anyone had any 1st hand experience with it.
As above! I've been messing doing something similar for a couple of nights, although I was trying to run a much larger than standard pipe to a modified air box, and have just tonight gone and fitted the standard set up back in place. When you remove the fog lamp there's two horns in the way, +...
I'm looking into the confusing world of gearbox oil for my 172 Cup, to try and help protect it on trackdays etc. My local (and very well respected) tuner is trying to sell me Royal Purple. Just interested to hear anyone's experiences using this oil, or has anyone got any other solid...
Saw this travelling North on the M1 about 6.30-7ish (god knows I was shattered and it had been a long drive!!)
I was travelling south but this thing stood out, properly low, Ph 2 sport front bumper, with bright orange wheels filling the arches. Looked good, just wondering if there's any pics of...
Was the driver giving passenger rides or something? I think the passenger just didn't realise how severe the moment was, as if he thought it was all part of the experience, but a sideways moment like that flat out in 5th (or was it 6th??) would have me grabbing on for dear life!!
Driver did very...
Will be servo - after you pushed the pistons back and fitted the new pads, when pumping up the pedal again after did you push it all the way to the floor or short presses till I pumped up?? I know on older cars you can damage the master cylinder seals, and wouldn't be surprised if it's somehow...
Re: 182 track weapon attempt
Good project so far mate, think it'll be out on track sometime this year? Who does your flocking, I'm looking for somewhere that does a good job for reasonable cost, after a few poor quality pieces after the last place I used to use stopped doing it :(
Small update, fitted a Pipercross panel filter - I've read all the arguments for and against so please don't bother trying to tell me not to bother with it!
I'm slightly surprised by the lack of choice in shock absorbers, can you get Bilstein shock absorbers for these?? If not I'll save up and...
Cheers guys - Nova was pretty awesome (as far as Nova's go) the full build thread can be seen here if anyone's interested: http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/projects-restorations/383961-t45-xe-nova-build-never-ending.html
Ordered a Pipercross panel filter today, probably gonna remove the front...
Cheers for the comments guys!
Sportline springs were bought brand new, and do seem to have settled slightly lower now.
Turini's will be getting refurbed at some point, can't make my mind up what colour yet. I do like the standard silver, but also like the satin black when their clean, or...
Thought I'd throw a few pictures up of my new to me Clio 172 Cup. I've been a life long Vauxhall fan, owning everything from a 1ltr Nova 1st car, onto Mk 4 Astra GSi and SRi turbos, aswell as my long term 2ltr, twin carb'd, Quaife Diff'd Nova.
After buying our first house 4 years ago money...
Hey mate, great work on the project! From what I've read the throttle problem and speedo may both be related, and caused by the speedo sensor. Maybe try replacing that before stripping the throttle body down??
