Market Insurance Brokers, mate of mine works for them.
I find the worse thing about all this, the fact we all have to pay an additional hidden charge for protection against un-insured losses and yet when it happens they charge us more for premiums.
To me, if we pay in to the fund then...
Can every one just note the top speeds on both models.
106 mph for the petrol and 101 mph for the dci.
How long before some one achieves a top speed of well over 120mph in one?
(I mean that sarcastically)
172 Cup has better power to weight than some older Scoobs from what Im told.
I know my mates Calibra Turbo couldnt shake em off till ge was doing well over a ton.
Zorst, cams, head, proper chip, and few other things should see pretty good gains - less than £2k there.
Unfortunatly its well known that turbos are FAR FAR FAR more tunable than n/a engines. They respond to mild bolt on mods in a much more positive way.
My 2 mates Cossies for instance - one...
Have a release mechanism to remove the bottle if anything happens. Lob it in the nearest bush should worst come to worst.
Surely they cant complain if you have the plumbing but no gas - if they do, say its just for track days, which they dont cover you for!
Hence it shouldnt concern them...
Darker cars are the best, black, blue, naples, green.
Reckon you got yourself the best colour, in a few years time when people will be looking to buy a second hand one they will pay more for a rarer black one than an every day silver one.
Try finding a nice black 16v these days for sale -...

Cheers to smokey for posting on my other thread!!!
Hmm, think Ill skip the washer jets and use that money...
Mine goes 7,200rmp from start up mate, sounds fishy to me, its controlled by the ECU and will be the same in each gear if all is well.
The noise you describe is the ecu cutting power as it hits the limit.
Once it hits the limit it drops off and then powers again hitting the limit again, so...
Would expect the 16v clio to be same as GTE or GSi?
HELLOO!
1.8 16v twin cam 137bhp vs poxy little rust bin with 1.6 8v hampster driven engine!!
DOH!!
Novas are all sh*t even the fastest of the fastest!!
Funny sometimes but still rather have class than outright speed.
Dunno when I bought the strips (thank you turboman) they had some red ones, and the old phase 1 strips had red clips. Only on the ends and the white clips wouldnt fit in the spaces.
Assume its to stop the strips sliding out of place, Im just gonna put some silicone sealent to hold mine in...
Right, you will need approx 25 new plastic clips. These consist of 2 peices, part that attatchs to the car body work and part that clips to the actual bump strip. Its VERY easy to swap the clips, the parts on the strips slide in place and the bits on the car twist out/in.
When you buy them...
Mint ones with clear indicators etc, diamond cut and polished orig rims do look nice, seats are nice but the actual dash is horrid.
Standard RS, a valver will see off quite confortably but then you can get 250+ bhp from an RS for the same money it would take to get a Valver to 160!!
RS1600is...
I meant to say that Williams wasnt out in 1991!
Also wheres the Williams three its probably the best Mk 1 Clio ever made.
AND why on EARTH is the Valver not part of it - I mean its the clio that all performace clios have been based on since. Bar the V6.
Also the later Renault sport v6 is...
They look so much better and so much more sophisticated than the usual bling bling ones!
Can they really mean each light cost £146 or each set of lights?
Check the yellow clips that go on to the injectors - one of mine popped off and it was running on 3 cylinders - wasnt fast and sounded waft.
Distinct popping sound just like you describe.

If any one can get prices that are substantially cheaper for the parts and labour from a garage that you know wont fcuk up the work please tell me.
I...
BB tuning will charge over £500 for head/manfold gasketts etc. Including fitting and VAT
I thought mine had gone but luckily a minor electrical fault meant it didnt cost me squat to fix.
I stand corrected about re-surfacing the head though!
But fcuk it, while its off get Ben to make it better!
£500+ for a full gasket set to be fitted (safest option)
If head needs re-surfacing looking at another couple of hundred quid - performance heads usually in the £400+ bracket (dont think a simple re-surfacing would be anywhere near that) Ask Ben R!
Check out...
