Same here with my full fat 172. It will follows the dips and weave like crazy if I accelerate hard on an unsmooth road in 1st or 2nd. Tends to do the same thing if I brake hard too, but I try not to do that too much, so don't notice it as much.
I think it's something to do with having wide...
Some older PC's can't turn themselves off :( but if it's a new motherboard I'd have thought it would be able to cope. You could look for motherboard BIOS updates and see if there are any available, but it's a bit of a long shot really.
Yeah, thats odd. If you open "run" from the start menu and type iexplore it manages to start IE, but it doesn't work from a shortcut.
Windows
If you want a shortcut on your desktop that opens a specific link in IE, then just right click and "Create Shortcut" in the box where it asks you what to shortcut to enter "iexplore http://www.cliosport.net" (without quotes) and it should start IE and open whatever URL you give it.
Aaaahh. Now I understand :)
If I change gear 1st to 2nd at 2000rpm, the drop is only 893, if I change at 6500 the drop is 2902.
Obvious really since its a ratio :o has been a long week:sleepy:
So you've got to rev it to 4000rpm in 1st before you change into 2nd  (working on the basis that idle is ~1000rpm)
My 172 certainly isn't like that.... or have I misunderstood something here:S
Otherwise try to get hold of some partition recovery software. (I don't actually know of any to reccomend, but I'm sure stuff exists) Possibly just the partition table has been knackered, and if you can get something to rewrite it all your data should still be there.
I assume you've checked that it is still plugged in correctly after your 'cosmetic' mods....
You could try and get hold of something like Partition Magic and see if that thinks there is anything on your disk. Otherwise try it in a different PC maybe.
People carriers are bad if you are in a smaller car like the clio and one is following you, because their lights are higher up in general and tend to shine straight in the back window.
I dunno. it doesn't really! I was only fooling with my excessively long rant above :clown:
If you actually give it serious consideration, it is less dazling for other drivers if you drive with side-lights and fogs but no dipped beam because the fogs shine down rather forwards. And if you are...
There are just an extraordinate number of people driving around with their front fogs on at the minute, when it blatantly isn't foggy.... We should start a "flash your fogs" campain ;) So like you would flash your main beams if someone was blinding you with theirs, we should flash our fogs at...
Could it be that your power steering stopped working? I guess that would make the steering virtually impossible to turn on a 172 due to it being heavy.
Re: Overclockers are shite
Thats wierd. I've used overclockers a few times and they've been fine. Always really quick turnaround on stuff, and never asked for any documents like that. I'd never send copies of anything like that to anyone!
My boot used to rattle and drive me crazy. One of the things I tried was driving with the boot lid open (only for a short distance!) which stopped it. Eventually I oiled the boot hinges and it's never done it since!
I'm not saying it will help you, but its fixed mine and anything is worth a shot!
Has been raining since then, so thats probably made it blend in! :S
tbh, I just didn't want to end up with a nasty mark down the side of my car as it probably wont be getting washed for a while looking at the weather at the minute :dapprove:
hmm, that's bad news as I've just bee out in the dark tonight with a damp cloth to remove some bird muck off the side of my previously clean car... I wonder if it will look even worse in the morning  Ah well.
