You mean Windows Media Center ;)
Yes, I believe you can record and playback TV, dvds, music, etc. Not sure about how satellite would work.. I guess you could plug your satellite box into the TV card in your PC, but I'm not sure if you could get the PC to change the channel when it needed to...
Is this when you go over bumps, etc at low speed with full lock on? If so, it could be the top strut problem... I think thats what it's called anyway. Renault have a fix for this known issue that involves (I think) filing a bit off the top of the suspension strut or something like that.
If you are getting memory errors, it could be the motherboard, or as wozzaa suggested maybe your RAM. It could also be a cooling problem - have you checked all your fans are working ok.
You might want to look at http://www.memtest86.com/ to find out if your RAM is ok...
Try the application whiteboard sharing thingy in messenger instead of remote assistance.
If either of you are using a hardware router / firewall that is able to use UPNP (should be a setting somewhere if you are and it does) make sure this is turned on. This enables apps such as Messenger to...
Top one looks like brake pad warning light I think.
4th down looks like a choke light.
I always wondered what the box with the wiggle lines through it meant on my old 1.2
Er reboot = unplug it leave it for a minute and plug it in again. There is usually a reboot option in the interface somewhere too, but I prefer actually pulling the plug on mine. Your setting should be ok.
Sometimes mine gets a bit "upset" if it has been on for a long time (days, weeks, etc)...
Strange one. I'm using a Netgear ADSL wireless router and don't have any problems. Have you tried upgrading the firmware (download from the Netgear site) if there is one available for you router model. Or reboot the router if you've not done it recently.
You should be able to tell if it is the fan belt by waiting for a cold damp morning. Start your car up, turn the blower onto full, put the lights on full beam, put the heated rear windscreen on, any other electricals you've got. Maybe rev the engine a bit. This puts a bit load on the...
Screehcing sounds like the fan belt needs replacing / tightening. My 1995 Clio RL used to do it. Same thing, did it when it is cold and damp, or if you put the engine under stress (turn on lots of electrics, lights, fan, etc) or sometimes when you change down a gear - just because of the...
You can buy aerial extensions, so there is a bit of wire, then the aerial so you could put it somewhere better, but I seem to remeber they were pretty expensive.
Otherwise I once bent a metal pie dish (the kind you get with frozen stuff from the supermarket) around my aerial to make a kind of...
You need to have the headlights on, and you pull the lever for the front window washers. I think you have to hold it for a number of seconds before the headlight washers cut in though. Thats my experience anyway. Usually see the shadow as the water sprays across the lights, or little sprays...
I thought the idea of front fogs was that they shine _down_ onto the road, unlike dipped headlights / main beam which shine forward into the fog, and just reflect back, meaning you get blinded by your own lights. So maybe, when it is foggy you should have side lights and front fogs on, but not...
Sounds like the switch is broken then. Like clarkiev6 said, the switch is in the gearbox - or at least it was on my 1.2 M-reg clio as I had it replaced. was just on the left hand side of the gear box IIRC. Think it cost me something like £20 for a garage to fix - including parts! :)
aye.
You can just imagine the Haynes manual instructions.
1) Remove engine (see section 4.4)
2) Remove dip stick and check oil level
3) Replace engine (refitting is the reverse of removal)
:clown:
I think "know" should say "knob"... it's kind of makes sense then :)
You should have the first one (outer one) turned twice and thats it.
If its foggy you might want to turn the inner one once (puts on front fogs) and if it's really really foggy, then twice (puts on rear fogs).
Oh, and so...
Yeah, you have a point there. I will see what prices are like when the time comes and how the car has been going...
My thinking was really that if it's always been dealer serviced and anything goes seriously wrong with it I might be able to moan to Renault UK and get them to contribute towards...
I'm in a similar situation. 52plate 172, need MOT at the end of the month, 30k miles. 36k service due soon - think I will get it done at the dealers as it is the first biggy and hopefully Renault will do a decent job (no smart remarks please! ;) ) and spot anything that should be sorted, and...
It's supposed to make the 172/182 idle a bit more smoothly. I use it it in mine, and I've never noticed any performance change, but it seems to improve mpg slightly.
Yeah, use something proper like Photoshop. Crummy cheap tools (aka anything that came free with windows ;) ) make a hash of it and leave thos rough edges....
Hmm, interesting, thanks.
So it is the computer jobby under the bonet that basically controls everything in the car. I wouldn't expect this to pack up after only 3 years / 30000 miles. Has anyone else had to have one replaced due to failure or problems with it?
And out of interest, how...
Following on from my previous thread http://cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=98688 about dodgy electrics (drivers window, wipers, SERV light) I've been told that I need a new ECU, but I'll have to take it back later in the week as they need both keys so they can recode them :dapprove:
I...
I've noticed a similar thing. No idea if it is the throttle actuator, as I don't know what / where that is, but there is definitely a buzzing noise from under the bonet with the ignition on.
