you guys must be driving it like a 1.2 i boot it on every fun road and get about 28mpg i dont spend loads of money on good fuel good tyres and suspension to go 28 everywhere.
i have a janspeed/ktec system is sports version with de-cat its very loud when you boot it but low throttle on motorway i hear my tyres over it on anything below 90 (awesome)
if you had that with a cat it would be reasonable
after being a member for over a year i am finally doing a project thread !
i own a arctic 182 05 plate which i purchased in september last year, its a full fat model and had 61k when i bought it. The car was completly standard and in great condition inside and out. Only payed 2.8k for it. After...
having the windows down is an option but when stuck in traffic in the boiling dun that does not work and when on the motorway on a day trip with your pals its just too noisy and blows loads of wind in there face lol!
the 1.6's are good they dont weigh much with a simple exhuast system (save even more weight )and panel filter you could settle with 115hp and a kerb weight of 950kg.
i know quite a few people take out the air con out of there 172/182's to save weight. But don't think i would even consider it now after this scorching summer! never appreciated climate control so much :).
anyone in regrets or in 172cups wishing the had it?
got to say aswell when i first bought my car it was running a blowing oem exhaust which was rattley and awful. Had no power low down at all. swapped for a ktec full system and decat and felt alot faster!
One other thing is our your revving it enough ? definitely get it wayyy past 6krpm before...
from my experience my car eats diesels. my bro and my friend have astra 1.9cdti 's mapped to 210hp my car (strong 182) when i went out for a drive would pull away! they do weigh like 1330kg though
the pro-kit ones reduce the drop by about 15mm at the front and 5mm at rear. Supposedly better ride quality but if you ask anyone on here go for the sportlines as they give a more noticable drop (especially as they settle it) adn the ride is still good
if you can get down get down to k,tec they doi it for 450 including parts ! cants beat that really http://www.k-tecracing.com/service_grid.asp?appid=2&model=Petrol models
