Other than loosing the deposit are would there be any other come back, as technically haven't you already signed the agreement to make full payment on the car?
That's probably over a grand anyway!
Is this 1k before or after tax, how much do you actually want to spend on mods?
The ride height looks spot on, but I'm sure coilovers would help handling.
Never owned a Vauxhall personally, mate has an Astra VXR and the interior quality in it is not what I would expect from something costing ~20k.
Remember it's not just about the engine size, I managed to overtake a 1.6 SXI Astra a few years back in a 1.2 Punto Sporting without too much trouble...
I'd say most people on here with a 1*2 didn't buy them new though Warren and 197s are still 10k plus, probably more than a lot people paid for their 1*2s.
And the the 197 or at least the R27 I drove is far far superiour car to the 1*2 so I think the old "you can't afford it" argument holds for...
A lot of people in this thread have new 197 FFs though?
I can see your point however, each to their own, personally if I was going for a 197 I'd have the R27, it's just for me the one to have. :)

Looks tidy enough, has it only had one cambelt change in it's life then?
He left it quite late which would worry me about what else he may have left too late?
