So I've purchased some recaro trendlines and they've came with megane frames, is it possible to take the megane runner off and bolt Clio runner to subframe?
If you want to go camping go to the lakes, up via hartside cafe.
Also people enjoy the road to Tan Hill and helmsley. I go up to hartside quite often and its a very enjoyable drive, especially from the cafe down to penrith, hair-pin o'clock
Thanks for that mate.
I didn't think the ARB would make any difference to how it tracked on the road but thought I'd throw it in their just incase.
I've done a bit of research and the parada's are mounted correctly, going to go do the tyre pressures tomorrow.
I've got my money on a nackered...
Pretty much, it's currently running standard dampers, springs and top mounts. I do have a pair of trophy rear shocks to go on tomorrow though and thinking of changing standard springs for eibach sportlines
What other factors would need to be considered/changed when doing wheel alignment mate? How would they go about changing camber, castor, toe etc with standard suspension. Obviously the toe has been done but could the other two be changed with standard components
So I've had this problem for the last few days, when giving the car lots of throttle, particularly in 1st/2nd gear it wants to drag me to the left quite violently, having to input a lot of steering to the right, making the car swerve all over the place.
I thought I'd let go of the steering...
Looks like a balanced argument from some owners.
I'm probably guessing the guy who test drove the 197 probably put his foot down low revs, caught out by the lack of boost and the involvement needed to drive it. I think he didn't do his research before going to look at it.
I thought it would...
I think Dave just wanted to talk about passing people in his trophy ;) lol
I'm ready to take those Sachs off your hands when you fall into the coilover trap Dave :) I've managed to get some standard trophy rear shocks as theyre better than standard
Was just going to ask this, what is the limit without going forged and is it something you plan on in the future?
Nice figures though, what sort of £££ we talking for that setup
haha maybe now it will owen ;) sneaky turbo. Wouldn't mind a ride out in the old beast at some point when you get chace.
Last time it was at RST in my ownership it made 162bhp but I left it outside running for 20 mins to make sure the cold start limiter was off when I think about it the heat...
I'm really interested to see those nick, I think having a standard figure then modified figure on same rollers will really guage what improvements this manifold can make.
I looked at glos182's graphs thinking 9bhp isn't much of a gain over standard inlet but soon realised the base figure will...
I've been out on track before getting tuition, I think before people spend thousands on tuning a good few hours tuition is worth its weight in gold, it tends to calm you down on public roads as well
Saw this in wetherby services with a front impact looked quite heavy
Was a gorgeous spec as well, red, recaros, black speedlines
Possibly on coilovers as well, looked like atleast passenger airbag went off.
I hope whoever the owner was is ok
I think to make the most out of Itb's you've really got to go forged, I've never looked into other internals for ITB's but I'm guessing cams, better valves that can cope with higher RPM's etc.
ITB's are perfect for the track though, they sound nuts but I think unless you hunt around for...
I honestly can't believe how people seem to be blown away by an extra 10bhp lol, is it even noticable?
I've been out in a Sc'd 172 that has atleast 90bhp more than mine and because of the way the power was delivered (very smooth mapping by paul @ RST) it didnt make a massive fuss just pulled...
The light will come back on after around 40 miles if you've turned it off with a fault code reader, best thing to do is get the lambda plug in, then turn it off with the fault code reader.
Nice to see you taking it steady on track and not thinking you own the place like some newbie's seem to...
Just watched the vids there, looks like it could definetely benefit from some better road tyres, Hankook Rs2's, Yoko AD08's or R888's.
My cup was set up with 2 degrees negative camber and slight toe out, it never span the tyres up coming out of any corner in second
I posted a thread about this with no response.
Either the owners are too busy having fun with their cars, they haven't been mapped yet or the results aren't what was expected and they're too disappointed to post.
I doubt its the latter though they sound awesome
