Hello Ian..... It is a bit of a chew but not as bad as you think.... The easiest way is through rubber grommet under passenger footwell.. Its where the bonnet release catch comes in.. Basically trick is to push cable through from inside car and keep pushing until you can feel behind sound...

Thats the thing it aint the pump its just I have lost intermittent wipe and washer jets both front and rear... Have checked all fuses but all ok... dont really fancy calling an auto electrician as will chanced to be something well easy I am overlooking...

Can anyone advise where I can download a wiring diagram for a mk1 172? Need wiring info as intermittent wipers and washer jets have went off.. Wipers still work on full but wont work with squirty jets or intermittent by its self.. Strange thing is heated rear screen not working either...

Check the bulb to make sure it is correct... Think it should be a dual bulb by the sounds of it... If you look at it should have two filaments if not buy a nde bulb which is right one

Can the big aerial be swapped for a smaller one with the need for drilling holes etc? i.e just screw in?
