13" Macbook Aluminium here. My first mac and I love it. Don't really notice the smaller screen as it is so bright and crisp its just a pleasure to use. Can't knock it at all. Anyway, all depends what you use it for. Mines just for light use, few movies, music, internet browsing etc.

Tbh snow foam is good but you need to get on it with some shampoo and a mitt after. It doesn't clean everything off and will just gunk up your clay. Also found it left like a white hazey finish after using it sometimes.

Snow foam - Shampoo - Clay - Shampoo - Dry - Polish - Wax.

I got it from a member off here. I would keep your std bonnet if I was you just in case. They are quite a bit lighter tbh. Notice it when you open the bonnet. Obiously not going to be a huge difference as you still have the framework etc which I believe on the ktec ones is made of fiberglass or...
