Hello,
does anybody have a picture (or can take it) of the Clio172 Ph.1/2 exhaust taken from the same position / angle like the picture below?
Thanks in advance.
New wheels and tires for 2010...
Steffan Evo in 8x14 with 10mm off-set and additional 5mm spacers at front. Tires are Toyo T1-R in 195/55R14V.

Was on the dyno now. Flat spot ist still present, but the figures themselves are O.K.
As always I had two runs that were nearly equal. It´s got now104kW at 5670rpm and 182,6Nm at 4690rpm. The chrakteristic didn´t change much, from it´s peak power it goes flat to the limiter. But the torque...
Manifold is now installed. Car runs very well, I have the impression that the flat spot at 3000rpm is nearly gone and it revs more free up to 7000. Unfortunately I wasn´t on the dyno, yet as my reference-dyno doesn´t work at the moment.
Also got a brake-update:
- Callipers from the...
Hi Manfred,
look this is the difference of these plates (for the old K4Ms) if you have mechanical throttle with an external idle-regulator or if you have electric throttle:
No, because the car isn´t on the street, yet. I have saisonal registration that begins 1st of April, then I have to pass our Mot (TÜV main inspection) and afterwards I´ll go on the dyno...so this will happen mid to end of April.
If you follow this link you will find two photos that show very good the differences:

Maybe that it fits but there are a lot of things to check, oil breather hole, flange to lower section, flange to throttle-body and so on. I´m sure that a rear mounted throttle body won´t fit side mounted at this Megane-Manifold, because the flange is totally different. If you have already FBW at...
There is this spacer-plate made aof aluminium that is inserted between the cylinder head and the lower manifold-section, so that the position of the oil breather hole and the throttle body remains the same. You can see it in two of the last pics.
No not shorter but about 20% wider, effectively they are now 3/4 inch longer. Don´t wanna go shorter, because that would be go hand in hand with torque-loss at low/mid revs.
I´m quite happe with my actual engine characteristic and hope not to change that much. Only better fillig at high revs...
Solution is now merging a K4M-manifold with a Laguna F4R-manifold...:)

But was a little work to do...
Not yet installed, but will be done soon including a dyno-run
Best indicator, the F7R-lump has casted bulges for the con-rods due to bigger stroke. So if you want to make a valver-lump a F7R you have to machine it in order tu get enough clearance.
But keep im mind that a charged engine might have different needs regarding camshafts to avoid over-blowing of mixture in the exhaust duct.
For example, catcams offered in former days a special profile for the ClioII RS turbo charged application.
Hotter means, that it will be hotter in the engine under same conditions, because it won´t conduct the heat into the cylinderhead as good as a colder type will.
If the combustion ist hotter (e.g. caused by real tuning like cams or charging), it´s not bad if you go one (or mybe more) step...
You have to look for one of the F4R-780 oder F4R-700 or for one of a F4P engine, but this works only if you have a mecanical throttle (no e-gas) and you have also to search for such. With the electric throttle, all from the 1,4 16V to 2,0 16V have the same diameter, it´s little smaller than...
I run Denso IK22 in mine and I´m very satisfied with them. Before without the cams I had the hotter IK20 that are pretty similar to the NGK BKR6EIX.
Other alternative for you NGK PFR6G-9 (double platinum type)
When I did the first rund I couldn´t believe the max power so early at 5500rpm, so we did a second and third run, but ist kept the same. But when I compared the old 2006 measurement with the last weeks, I could see that it was an improvement on the whole rpm range:
Nevertheless it spins...
