lol. well i guess im gettin a new exhaust asap then! which specific part of the system fails then? if its just brackets isnt it easier/cheaper to buy new ones??
well aware the exhaust system is one of the weakest parts on the 172 but was just wondering how long most ppl have had their car before the zaust has fallen off?? iv done nearly 32k miles and the car is 4 years old...shold i be thinking about gettin a SS system yet?
iv just spent hours trying to fix my horn mate, and its a right nightmare.! i fitted a sparco wheel and when fitting the horn the wires shorted and melted all the way to the plastic that the wheel mounts on. took it all apart and had to solder new wire on. dont know if your fault is as serious...
so what do you reckon i should do?? cant see where it wold be shorting although there is a bit of metal the is in the horn housing which i think touches the metal of the wheel when installed...Can you pass an MOT without your horn working?

cheers guys. got the piping from Venair, and the ram pipe off ebay (regal motorsports i think). sprayed the ram pipe black so it doesnt stick out like a sore thumb! was pretty simple job actually...had to take the bumper off tho....
hmmmm...so there is no way of making sure it stays off? thats wierd. does it not actually affect the car driving with it on?? i will still prob get one (is it really 5-6bhp gain tho?!)

yeh oxford definately isnt car friendly! iv been toying wiv the idea of taking my motor back home and leaving it there but just love driving it way too much (plus im not a huge fan of gettin a bus at half 7 in the morning!)

will the airbag light come on if i take off the oe steering wheel and replace with a different one? can it be turned off or will i have to take it to a reno garage.?? i have a diagnostic tool which will read and clear faults and turn off the MIL light (obviously not as good as a proper Renault...
problem solved! got a OBD2 diagnostic tool other day, plugged it into the car and cleared the fault and now shes running fine! it was like the car was in a safe mode or something!...
thought maybe something to do with fitting induction kit - maybe crap is getting into the throttle housing?? altho my mate said his corsa did this before and he had to get a new ECU...
hi mate. yes i had the problem fixed - cost £50 for throttle potentiometer and lots for labour! however i have now had the car running for couple weeks and its doing the same thing again!!
does anyone know if you have to unlock Orange mobiles beacuase iv heard they will work regardless of other network sims being used.....is this correct or do u still need to unlock them??? cheeeeers
