I bought some from the Martin a while ago. They travelled really well and don't stress when bent. Well worth it as I paid about £175 when a bias valve alone is £100.
I'm obsessed by weight loss at the moment and have thinking about hole sawing.
The car is stripped completely. Any tips on hole sawing, should I, shouldn't I, where to if so etc?
The size of the TB will not change anything as the opening to the plenum is would still restrict the airflow. Even then, I don't think it's a restriction until about 250bhp.
TBH, I wouldn't bother with that as it might look good but will no doubt need loads of work to fit and is probably quite...
I'd guesstimate I'll be low 9's or high 8's. That will be with cage, fibreglass doors, bonnet and boot, polycarbs, Superleggera's, fully stripped, no Aircon or abs plus others I've forgotten.
Not cheap though!
I'd say mid 900's is a fair weight at reasonable figures.
You could use the drivers loom. I'd strip it down anyway to remove the rest of the tat you don't need. From memory they're a light brown and a white but if you trace them back from the switch you'll see.
Super. How/what should I check?
If only I could get the oem working. I'm hoping a Cup engine loom mated to my ff interior loom will work. Doubt it though.
I've fitted a Cup blower to my 172 but it doesn't work as they're wired differently.
Electrics aren't my strong point.
Could something like this be used to regulate the speed of the blower if I splice it into a switched live...
