Great work Rhys.
I find it quite amusing how many builds are currently in progress that are identical. Yours, Kelvs, mine.
Get that rear loom trimmed and re wrapped. It makes such a difference to the inside.
The Cup blower won't work with the FF loom. Not sure if converting the engine loom to Cup would. I should know in the next few weeks when I remove my ABS and fit a Cup engine loom.
If you've got a dicky earth, it could cause an issue.
I had an old Nova and the gearbox earth was shot. The car ran when I jumped it but indicating would turn the head lights on and using the wipers would sound the horn.
Understandable Buddy.
A tidy weight saving is to swap the Trophy spoiler for a Dynamique spec jobbie. There is 2-3kg there and a couple oh hundred notes as well.
Looking great Kelv. It's like a Trophy equivalent of mine.
What turned you off of the grp tailgate? That was a hug weight saving on mine.
You need to get in on the grp door group buy.
Heatgun and scraper. Heat a section around 6 inches square at a time by continually moving the heat gun across the surface slowly until the patch just begins to bubble. You will then be able to remove the section in one piece. Each section should come up in 3 pieces.
Then use a cheap spray on...
A tip for removing the C pillar patches as access is limited. I bought one of these
This started the process then when I had worked enough, I heated the edge of a wallpaper scraper and slid that down to melt the glue further as well as applying a little heat from a heat gun.
Have you both checked all of the earths?
I had a fault recently whereby the fog light bulb would stay lit permanently and then flash really brightly with the indicators. It turned out to be a poor earth at the back of the car.
I want to fit a set of fixed buckets with side mounts bolted directly to the car. From what I can gather, the standard seat rails aren't up to the job?
I was thinking of fitting something like these...
