Thinking I might leave these till the summer when I get some r888s or similar, there seems to be alot of doubt about the benifits on road tyres, but I think its safe to assume that the extra flex the car will have with the extra grip for semis will be well dialled out with these. My mate has a...
I assume you have suspension mods as well? did you do them at the same time as the brace or add the brace later?
If you added the brace later did it make quite a difference then?
when you say properly you mean under the strut top?
Trying to think of things which I can remove / replace from my MK2 Ph1 to keep the weight down, got loads of things to remove from the back, but so far struggling to think of that much weight from the front:
Engine Covers
Aircon
Soundproofing under bonnet
Battery to Boot
I want to keep my...
I thought french cars were made of cheese :P.
What about if there bolted onto/under the rear/front strut tops? every car ive ever had a strut brace fitted onto had it fitted there. Never seen one with self tappers before, that would be fuking useless :rasp:
What about uprated ARB's?
Ok, Ive got my H&Rs on and am enjoying the improvement of the handling on my ph1 172 now.
I drive my car very hard, everyday and hopefully it will be seeing the track later in the year too.
On every other car forum (nissan gtir / clio williams / crx uk / sxoc / etc...) strut braces seem to be...
can someone just confirm that as standard the clio runs 1 deg on the front?
as I have a camber kit and soon will be getting all the allignment done. I assumed the camber would be 0deg standard so was going togo for neg1, but if its neg1 standard then ill probs goto neg2 when the allignment is...
As i said "
I know I should have the front a little lower than the back for handling, but this weekend was going for looks only"
the allignment and proper ride height will be done next week by a mate at the tt shop, so thought id see what it looked like Low before then.
Anyone got H&Rs and...
Ok so I finally got round to fitting my H&Rs to my clio, droped the front to the height I wanted for now and theres still about a cm togo, if I ever choose todo so.
Then when It came to the rear i droped them all the way to the bottom, expecting to see the wheel dissapear into the arch...
After about 5 hours last sunday I managed to fit my front h&rs to my ph1 172. I didn´t however get round to rears. I am going home in the early hours of monday morning and should have a few hours monday to finish the job by doing the rears.
I was hoping for some tips on what parts I should...
Just bought some of the h&r ones from yozza sport togo with my h&r coilovers which im fitting tommorow, can someone tell me where they go and what they go in place of. A picture would be amazing.
I have searched but only found guides on fitting lowering springs and replacing standard shocks...
Ive had
2x Clio 16v's
Saxo VTS
CRX VT
and now have a 172 ph1
At first I wasnt sure about my clio, but now after pushing it a little more and getting used to it Id definitly say the clio has the best level of grip and is the fastest at changing direction in my opinion (even though its the...
Ohh the valvetrain I see, well I assume there must be specialist places that sell uprated kits for the clio?
Anyone know any?
These are common mods for alot of Honda tuners I belive?
Currently have OZ wheels with on my car and am wanting speedlines, was wondering if my OZ fitment bolts would be suitable for the speedlines or are they going to have a different shape chamfer where the bolt touches the wheel?
I am quite interested in building an engine to rev high, I want to avoid the torque a turbo / supercharger produces as I belive it affects to many other components?
What did you include in the actual build of the engine to allow it to rev so high? I would love to reach 8500rmp plus, but I...
Funny this topic should come up. Rarely do I get races on the way to work, seems to be a route filled with boring slow people, however down the bedford bypass a few mornings ago I raced one of these from about 30mph at the top of the sliproad to about 130. I was behind and was absolutly...
Was hoping to make one of my next mods for my ph1 172 some slightly more hardcore seats.
So far i'm undecided on whether I will be going for fixed or adjustable. I do know however that I will not have the £500+ for a pair of seats with subframes from the shops, so Ive been looking at...
Which will stick out further et 37 or et 42?
I gather one does by 5mm but which way round is it?
I assume you mean the 37s will scrub on the outside of his archs if anything?
