Don't read too much into those figures unless the other car(s) on the day also made typical values.
If this is the case there could actually be something wrong, leakdown/compression test would be first on my list........
We seem to have the general consensus they make much nearer their quoted power than previous Clios....... But 215 bhp at the fly, I think not unless it is seriously modded :(
I still think the sale price of your old car has a great relevence in getting a fair deal back - The pistonheads links above giving the values help indicate why.

I would consider asking to see the sales invoice for your car that was sold - If it's more than he is offering then his argument on high trade-in value is irrelevant.

I owned this one and I actually preferred it to my S2000, very cheap to get 275bhp (245bhp Std), very fast and handle superbly, just make sure you get a Rev 3+
