check the top of the engine there like a tick rubber coated wire coming over from the back of the engine to the right hand side.. check at the top/back of the engine that the metal case it sits it hasnt cut though the rubber..
i got a service done on it about a month ago the guy put 0w-40 oil in i thought this was a bit odd.. its worked brill ever since..... but for some reason when i start the car up on idle it blurps then if u rev it to about 2000rpm its shakes the hole car :S can anyone help cheers mark
i have a 172 cup engine...service guy called and said that he put 0w-40 in the car!!! is this the right stuff i thought it was 5w-40 semi-synthetic ???
im looking to do this tomoz... whats the best tool to use to do this ive got a dremel... or some drill bits...
also if anyone has had this done have they seem a difference in performance...

sounds like the gear box is goin if im honest... as long as u put it all back together right release baringect........ fork is all ok not worn (gussing 1.4 are cable clutch) mine use to hav a similar problem it would crunch in to gear... turn out to be the gear box was naff...
hmmm nah no coolant level change at all but do u think i could do with a new clip 2 see if it helps?? also i dont have any air con its a cup engine sorry should hav said
yeh everything is all goo nothing is low at all.... as said weekly checks r always done.. just done a photo quickly the small pipe to the right if u look that the white stuff coming out and the large pipe is the pipe i think its coming from but whats it going to ???
i had a look in my engine bay today to do my weekly checks as you do.... and i relised that there was some white stuff over my battery.... :S could think what it was so i turned the engine on to see if anything was leaking... nothing.
i then took it for a spin to find it had come back...
lol yeh thats different.... erm i did buy a k&n off ebay and it came with the angled part to fit on the engine then the filter.... i would a pick but i dont think ive got one :/ i will hav a look m8
as said be for m8 they all go there rubbish its the spring inside them it goes so easily.... pop on ebay u can pick them cheaper then goin to renault!!
hello i was talking about ur problem to my m8 who is a dealer... he said even if u didnt buy a warranty by law!! its under some kind of act i cant remember what but its covered for up to 6months as long as its not wear and tare related.... but he also said if u ask them to fix it if they refuse...
I did hav a 1.2 and found the standard discs were very very good with green stuff pads... Personally I dnt c the point in changing the rears theres not alot of power... I'm still roling with drums with a 172 engine... Nutter I no but they do fine if they stop me then I cnt c the point in doing...
