Yeah I understand invoices can be dodgy too, it was his whole idea of “well I don’t have any invoices or stamps but I’ll get some” obviously if they are there upon first viewing most would be none the wiser :P
^this.
Worst part is the 330d I had the deposit on, the guy was like it’s fine I’ll send you over the invoices, I explained it doesn’t work that way knowing full well I’d buy this car and never hear from him again. Also said his mate runs the garage and he’ll get him to stamp the book 😂😂 stamps...
Me indeed! 😂👋
No you probably saw me list the 200 up for sale last week, put a deposit down on a nice 330d touring, had already viewed the car and all service history was missing after 39k miles after being told it’s been serviced every 8k with invoices etc so took the 200 straight off sale (for...
Nice that, I’m currently on the lookout for one too (or saloon) or even the diesel equivalent, becomes very draining trying to filter out the nice examples from the crap 😂
I watched a couple of videos and info on here suggests removal of the whole lower dash and moving the clutch pedal and steering column to gain access so probably too much for me to give a go really :P
Has anyone got any links to pattern parts they’ve fitted? Don’t fancy going 2nd hand obviously...
Sounds like it thanks mate,
Also doesn’t sound like a fun job to do, anyone had a specialist do it and if so how much should I expect to pay for a new motor?
Hi guys,
Got an issue with my heaters/blowers!
Basically when I start the car the blowers are dead, if I give the lower dash a whack (where the blower is situated) it’ll come on but only on the highest setting. It’s noisy but after a while it gets really bad and fluctuates and stutters then...
Buy cod every year, play it for a week then stop. This year seems decent though best cod in a while but only a couple of decent maps imo. Needs a few tweaks like map voting and markers on the mini map bringing back really
Hi guys,
Searched for a few threads on this issue but just replies of “change the tips” but to what? Would prefer to order before I fit.
Basically got a 200, going back to standard exhaust and have a 197 exhaust here, how do I go about fitting it without knackering my diffuser?
Cheers :)
Was over the going rate at roughly £400 but that included the black centre section too. Only went with them as they painted a few bits for my mates abarth and did a great job so was happy to pay that really
Fixcar automotive did a good job on my ultra red 200 front bumper respray, they’re based in aldershot. Got it right 2nd time but didn’t leave until it was spot on (red is a pain in the arse)
Tbh for the price of them, the price difference between a high mileage and ‘reasonable’ mileage, say under 100k, is minimal. As above the engines are pretty strong but I imagine higher mileage ones will be getting pretty tatty elsewhere
Spotted a nice looking liquid yellow 200 last night in the farnborough car park by the cinema, looked good on the team dynamics! ?
Pretty sure it’s the same one I saw at top golf a couple of weeks back too!
Attached a video, that’s about as far as my investigation got as I couldn’t find the 12mm to remove calliper bolts but I’m assuming they look shot and not fit for the ring anyway? They’re fine when hot but that occasional judder doesn’t fill me with confidence when cold/wet.
We’re on the car when I bought it in September mate, am I best off just getting some new pads before the ring? Will grab some pics of them Friday evening and post them in here
*update* just checked the specs from when I bought it they’re actually ds1.11 not ds2500, assuming why they squeal! But will I have done damage by using them everyday or could the brake problem be linked to them not being warmed up or something?
Cheers guys will give that a go! How did you get them out? Cut down the middle and tap out? Don’t even know the actual method to get them out watched a couple of videos and no one even bothered trying haha
Cheers guys was hoping it would be something simple, haven’t had it long enough to do brakes on this before but read the pins can be a pain in the arse should I order some replacements?
Right so noticed this really recently, not ideal as I’m off to the ring in 4 weeks.
Really hard to explain but hoping someone’s had the same issue, if I brake heavily from say 80/90, the initial bite is ok but then it almost feels like it coming off the brakes and something is blocking it and I...
Yeah I imagine there is pro’s and cons to both, no one wants to shell out all that money to get there and it’s hammering it down, however we were looking into going in about 5 weeks time (mid June) for just a couple of TF evening sessions and paying the 50 odd euros to have an instructor in for...
Ah I was gonna say plenty of room with just 8 haha! Cheers for all the help first hurdle is MOT tomorrow then will get it booked into a specialist for a check over and get the ring booked hopefully! Will have done another 5/6k miles by October mind :ROFLMAO:
Sounds perfect mate is there only 8 people in total then or is that just through circuit days? Thinking this is definitely the best way to go about it! Will you be going this October?
I’d happily pay for the circuit days event, where can I find what’s included in the package or Is it literally just the laps? Any breakdown cover etc, be nice to have a pit with other people out on the same sessions in case something does start to play up
