As above, I’ve changed a few reluctor rings on clios. The rust on the cv joint swells underneath and blows the rusty ring apart.

Have a look in the fuse box in the front right side of the engine bay. Remove relays and clean up all contacts you can with sand paper. Worth a try as my car wouldn’t start when I first got it, cleaned up the fuse box connections and it’s been perfect for the last couple of years since.

My old V6 owed me about £7k (and it was a really nice one with low mileage). Don’t like to think about that too much.
