Cup wheels are ET38.5 and 16x7" not 16x6.5" like the 172 but still using the same 195/45/16 Conti tyre
The rear track is due to the offset of the wheels.
The front track is due to offset and revised suspension arms.
The tweeters are a tight fit but will go in.
I used the black sticky they supply to hold the speaker grilles on with.
Just enough to keep them in place and does not make a mess if you need to take them out.
Pics of my Cup with 17" Turinis on and Apex lowering springs:D

Nice clean engine bay...
I have had this a couple of times now.
When changing gear high up in the rev range sometimes it seams like the clutch is not releasing. When you let off the gas and put your foot on the clutch the car just slows down like you have let off the gas. You can get it out of gear but it goes with a...
Scott. you need to modify the door card slightly as they are a deep speaker but only takes a couple of minutes. Sorting out the wiring to the crossovers takes the time but its easy to do.
Cuptastic. The Nak sounds great but if you are giving the old Cup a bit of stick every time it hits 5K it...
I thought my Cup was bad. Im on visit number6 and 7 on 5th Feb.
I got a result with my paint though. Complained to Renault that they are not going to produce a touch up paint and what happens to my paint work warranty, so they are going to sort out all my stone chips under the paint work...
Got to have my passenger door trim replaced after the body shop buffed out a scratch on my door and buffed the trim now its grey in places.
Had new aux drivebelt and tensioner and the dan thing still squeals every time it starts. third time lucky:p
I have put Focal Polyglass 136V components in my Cup.
They sound much better than the standard items. Cost was £120.00
Got a Nacamichi stereo in as well for the moment until i get something else.
Robfenn. The suspension did make a lot of diffenance to the handling as i still had the 16s on, but when i put the 17s on the steering feels more positive.
If the Cup was designed that well there would be no need for Renaultsport upgrades;)
The 17s have the same 7" wide rim as the 16s.
Go for the 17s:D
My car feels much better. Handling is improved and a lot less wheelspin plus it looks so much better.
It has made the ride a bit harder but even though the car is lowered it drives ok.
Mk2 172 brakes are off the Phase 2 Megane 1.6 16v and 2.0 16v and Phase 2 Laguna all except V6 and some Espaces
I got my discs for my Megane Coupe 280mm 12 groove with green stuff pads for £150.00 (using National Autoparts discs PBD1000X, manufactured by black diamond but without the black...
I dont miss having ABS. Had it on my Megane coupe b4 i had my Cup but i prefer the feel of the Cups brakes.
Had no problems driving in the snow a couple of weeks ago.
If you have never had ABS then you wont miss it. Renaultsport have played with the Cups brakes to make them more progressive...
Speedline Turinis come in ET 42 and ET 35.
I have 17" Turinis on my CUP ET35, lowered 40mm and they have not caught anything yet (been on for a week now)
Thats because the tyres had done all of 5 metres (from one end of the drive to the other;))
I still wish i had my 18" Boss XTRs off my Megane Coupe as i could clean the backs without taking them off.
Must clean must clean:confused::oops::p
I use zymbol car shampoo. Smells nice and is supposed to buff the car up if it is waxed when you leather it of. Good stuff but not cheap (got it from halfords i think)
For wax i use Turtle Wax extreme wax then go over that with Auto Glym Showroom Shine but i have only waxed the car once since...
