Haha! Clutches and gearboxes are really strong on the 172 - hardly ever hear of problems. The clunk thing, on the other hand, is really common. To be fair to the dealer, if they havent sold a lot of 172s they might not know about this - we have them at a bit of a disadvantage here with so...
