Got ripped with my 182 service

Well when you think I was £320 for: -

24,000 service (supplied own oil)

Coolant change

Brake fluid change

Gearbox oil change

Replace pollon filter

Strip rear brakes (sticking)

Work on front suspension (looking for a "creek")

Im well happy eh ........and that was on the Vee

flippin eck - mine was £123 all in with courtesy car in Skipton - didnt you get a quote first?

Yep you should always get a quote.............then talk them down.............they started off at £480 for mine

Ive been quoted nearly £350 excluding parts for my first 182 12k service in Chatham,Kent.

Luckily Im only on 5k so have pleanty of time to look round.

Why the hell dont Renault have fixed pricing (GLOBALLY!)

because a mechanic in Surrey expects to earn a bit more than a mechanic in Hungary I guess.

It is strange how prices vary so much throughout the UK though.

yep all the quotes for my first 172 service in the surrey area came up around the £200 mark.

Fork me! Mine was £118(in Berks), supplied own oil and have ITG filter. Next time, either drive to one of the guys on here or phone around.

Find the next meet outside your normal area.
Ring round for the best price for a service.
Have the car done, then meet some other members youve never met before.
Drink beer and eat until you bleed from the liver.
