Steve.
Just about to order a few things from bb tuning but i am not sure what our members code is for the discount? cant find it in the members area either. Can someone please help??
LOL. The very early ones without cats made 140bhp and 121lbft. Compared to the later 137bhp and 119 lbft. But as people have said no difference in performance between phase I and IIs. But like any ageing car the state of the engine will determine wether its a quick one or not as they do tend to...
He does run filters on it just took them off for the pic. They would be better with a shorter inlet manifold then the bonnet could just have some vent/s in it so it wouldnt look so .. well sh*te.
I ve been thinking this lately as well. I am concerned about mid range punch. Is the standard exhaust resrictive? I was thinking of running a supersprint manifold with decat then standard exhaust system.
Youve got the problem in your question doing 85 you should be in 4th you would of opened the gap alot more. You really have to rev the valver to get it shifting use the gears to keep it high up the rev range when booting it.
Well youll be please to hear that fitting is not to bad.To be honest I would fork out for a new one unless your not going to keep your car more than a year as chances are that itll just go again and youll then be back to square one.
renault is going to be the only place i think. each stud pattern has a number which i think you just have to tell renault(thats if you no it?). other than that try cuting a grove in it to undo with a flat headed screw driver.
My car used to run alittle cool and take ages to warm up so i replaced the thermostat and coolant temp switch with oe ones from reanult. it now warms up alot faster, but now seems to run to hot i.e very close to the 3rd bar up which is just before where the fan cuts in? what could be causing this?
I ve had a pbv fitted and set up on a rolling road. With a decat and cat back exhust it gave around a 2-3 bhp increase at the wheels and torque was all better thorughout the rev range.
The cams are not as wild in the 16v head and it has smaller inlet valves(shouldnt make to much of a difference). It will not rev as high due to the bottom end with increased bore and stroke. 7k max should be the new redline. A good idea to have the head worked on when doing the conversion as it...
