For those who are thinking about getting a sealed IK, Below is link with pics to the CDA section of BMCs website as well as link to page with dyno results on a Mini Cooper S, bhp is roughly same to a 172 and it gained 6bhp, I know every car is different but assuming the 172 also gains 6bhp its good value for £160 (sure its available somewhere for this price inc club discount)

Hard to say as the standard airboxes are not the same as each other and so may flow differently, and therefore will yeild different gains.
