I had to get a chap out to sort out a couple of parking dents on mine. I paid £50.00 per panel through www.dentdevils.co.uk , the chap who came to do mine was a Walsall local and was an absolute pleasure to do business with to be honest.
Don't know if it may be worth one of you dropping them...
Yeah I had a feeling the price was too good to be true and then found out they had only priced up a 172 spring.
Ah well, the search begins here!!!
Cheers for the info though!
Hi all,
Just a quick question, took the cup in for its MOT a couple of days ago and got a fail for a broken front spring.
Before i go ordering the wrong parts, is there any difference inbetween the standard 172 spring and the Cup spring, if so what is it and where can i get a specific cup...
Was just asking because the phase 1 ive just bought makes a slight clicky/knocking form the d/side wheel when pulling away with slight lock on - also got the slightest amount of feedback through the wheels at about 80mph....and i was thinking it could be the cv joint or possibly driveshaft as...
My bro, has just picked up a phase 1 172 with 104k on it and it seems 100% sound just make sure its got a full service history and you should be fine, it also helps if the mileage has been clocked up on motorway journeys as this causes less wear to the engine - which is the situation with my...
Cheers for all the info guys, my Bro is always interested in knowing the history of cars he is buying :)
I didn't realise the Pearl Black was such a limited colour...looks a pretty tidy motor he has picked up (will have to get him to post a few piccies when he gets back from Newcastle.
My bro has just picked up a (2000) phase 1 172 in Pearl black and he has asked me what the spec of the car is as standard - as he has not had an owners booklet or anything with the car.
Would it have automatic lights, wipers etc?
I've not had chance to have a good look at it yet and i'm only...
That was me hehehehe.
Got the short straw in the draw and had to shift 20+ Helium Baloons in my Clio....felt like on of those guess how many baloons are in the car competitions.
Its hard to keep a low profile when your car looks like a fun park.
Gonna have to give the Cup a bit more stick i...
I had a similar problem with my motor, drove it all the way to work got back to it and it was almost like the battery was dead. Anyway i got the RAC out and thankfully the bloke who came out knew a bit about RS motors and advised me that it was the crank sensor and when they get muck on them or...
That would be the same as my local island!!! , its always the volvo island that catches me out, my brother nearly stacked his bmw e30 going round that island on more than one occasion!

Hello,
Having a few problems replacing the rear pads on the Cup.... when the pads were off we were unable to move the piston back far enough for the new pads to fit. The only theory we have is that we need to slacken off the handbrake cable as it looks like the handbrake works the pistons...
Good Afternoon,
Just a quick question really. I am just preparing to replace the back pads on my 02 Clio but I am struggling to source any online. Is there anywhere that anyone would recommend on the net to order them, also what make do people generally go for on their cups?
Cheers
Craig
Yeah, you can fit 3 cars across, usually my Cup, the astra and a Mazda 323f on the drive.
Always plenty of room to clean the motor when i need it . Just shift the other cars onto the road/path.
