And Im in Southend. So is Dash.Ermmm, who else.? Goin by login names The Blue Turk also in Southend, Yogi in Rayleigh, Rockport over at Basildon, Rob up in Chelmsford, and Glenn (?), other Essex boys a bit further afield, Leigh down in Romford, Wongy and Ivan over in Grays area, Tony up that way...
Even 449 Sports Blue (or sometimes Bleu Sport in the paint charts) has a ton of different shades that it came in. Go to Halfords and theyll get the Holts book out, its got about 4 slightly different shades of 449.
LOL Thats top notch! Putting looks aside for a moment, best thing to insulate it from heat on a budget would be to cover the whole thing in tin foil with a layer of something else in between the foil and the tin itself. AS long as its sealed underneath I cant see why it shouldnt work. OK...
Depends what diameter you want. You can get proper brake ducting pipe from DT but its not cheap, about £30 a metre. If you want cheap off the shelf expanding alu pipe then Halfords only go up to 60mm, although you can get 70mm pipe from some of the air filter manufacturers. Next up is the bad...
Both good motors. As a cross country, day-to-day, A-B car I would take the valver every time. Handles better than a 5 IMHO and as long as you keep it up in the powerband you can make pretty rapid progress around the B-roads. You wont feel like youre thrashing it cruising at 110 on the motorway...
Not AFAIK. The police tried to bluff people by quoting a similar case recently as proof that the loophole is closed. It has not been though. They are just bluffing and dont know the law too well themselves. There is NO requirement at present to sign the statement of driver identity although...
LOL e-sure isnt that the one with Michael Winner? ...no, no, its just a commercial, Im really a very good driver!
In my experience, insurance companies dont care about the first 6 points once youre into your late 20s/early 30s. Even my mum and dad have got points and they dont even hardly...
So the answer is, put a NACA scoop in the bonnet just above the airbox and hook it up directly - scoop to box all sealed up. Of course you cant open your bonnet then unless you use collapsible hose (silicon/wire helix brake ducting pipe should do it?) but I cant see why you couldnt do it.
Yeah good question. I used Autoglym for a couple of years cos I always get a set free at Donny every year. I just didnt like the polish cos it left too much dust all over the place.
LOL Marcus thank God youre getting rid of that bumper mate. Spoils an otherwise top quality mint motor - cant wait to see it with its new front end!
And a special double LOL for Dash - nice comeback!
Keith you dork! Thats a quality idea though, probably too quality for us! What about

A quarter of the price and a hundred times busier than any other car club!
The Donny South organisers have announced a prize for the best/biggest club stand at the show this year. We were the biggest and best last year and it would be a shame not to pull it off again this time round, so if youve not yet considered coming along, check out the link on the main page and...
LOL you lazy git I thought as much. If youre out Friday night you could always come up Southend and collect. The wife wont let me out again once Im back home!
What so Ive got the sh*t stuff then Tony? Bloody crooks - I knew I smelt a rat when it was so cheap! So what do you get in the full house setup, a brush as well?
LOL you been on the bottle again - drinking the Zymol! They say you cant polish a turd but yours are gonna be bloody brand spanking mint when they come out of your rear end:o
Ha ha they;re in my shed! Mate my weekends are like a whirling maelstrom - I spend the whole time here there and everywhere. But I might be able to bring it round VERY early this Saturday morning, like 8 o clock or something. Hows that sound? I shouldnt have sold them to you anyway;), I just...
Unless you want harnesses your best bet is rob some out of a Metro GTi or whatever they were called. It was always the fancy Austins that had red belts.
No its definitely the 3. Ive seen a lot of Willys in my time (NO pun intended!!!) and hardly any of them were 3s. All Willys are looked after just as well, if anything the 1s more so because they were the original and numbered which the 2s and 3s werent. But thats still not enough to...
Just got some and it was only about £12 for one thing and a fiver for the other. I thought Zymol was supposed to be mega expensive. Like a hundred quid for a capful of polish or something?
LOL Ben you cheat you just copied that out of Parkers or Glasss guide! Either that or youre the biggest Renault dork I ever knew. Actually its probably the latter ;)seeing as you went down in history as the bloke who came to a Southend meet from Scotland! Thats dedication!
