Cool, not too bad then. Are they hard to change? may as well do both while its off. Paint the rocker cover too. will have to wait a while though cos skint at the moment. am i ok just to keep cleaning out the bores for now?
I wanna get my rocker cover colour coded. Can you just use normal paint? and also can i laquer it?? not payin £80 for one from hill power, gotta change the gasket anyway.
makes sense. Probably the inner one thats leaking then. Is it a hard job? Will have to wait till I get the cover painted though I guess. Are they expensive??
17s mate. Runnin standard phase 1s now.
I have had a load of problems since i ran out of fuel, down to a dodgy gauge.
Fuel filter, the clutch cable snapped, then was only firing on 3 cylinders cos the plug was in a bath of oil. broke a plug lead too. so a new set of them. seems to be ok now...
Anypne had this problem with there 16v?
Every time I take the plugs out they have been in a bath of oil. I do not spill it when the oils topped up so what the hells happening?? Ive heard of this happening to 19 16vs. My car wasnt firing right on one cylinder today it was so deep in oil. Is it...

Sorry to bring this old post up but wondered if you can get that pipe that fits onto the CDA seperately? Im after one like that to fit a filter im making.
I got a new filter on it. It looked pretty old the one that was on it anyway. Still not got the clutch cable on yet. Gave it up as a bad job. Cant get the cable to thread through as its so tight down near the manifold. Get my dads mechanic mate to do it. Afraid it wasnt on vid when it snapped...
They are about £25 quid for a new pedal. Whys it such a c**t to change! Cant get the new one on. Fine at the engine end but theres a bloody great manifold in the way of gettin it into the car. Typical renault!
Cheers mate ;). Im the mate hehe.
Still gotta see what the cars like with em on yet. If I can get the car further than the top of my road this time!! They are def a tidy set as well.
should be pointin out yeah, as thats the way the fuel should flow. Would probably work though. But shouldnt be that way. If u wanna turn it round id get a new one as the crap thats filtered will be sucked through if u just turn it around.
Got it sorted. A new fuel filter and some fuel and it was running. Sounfs really tappy now though, could that be because its been started up loads and oils not got round the engine properly? The oil level is ok and it had a change a few weeks ago.
Oh and when I got it all runnin, set of up...
I though there was an air flow meter on a valver? A few months ago when I was talking about mine cutting out I was told to clean the air flow meter out,
confused
Alright, wonder if anyone can help me with this.
Was coming down the motorway yesterday, my petrol was pretty low, I was gonna get some at the next junction. ON my gauge it said I was half way between quarter full and empty (my gauge is a bit dodgy!) My car started to brake as I accelerated...

Not great pics but you get the general idea.
whats the difference between normal 15W 50 and Mobil 1 anyway? You can get that grade a lot cheaper.
I change my oil every 4k though. does that not make a difference? I have always been told to change it regular and even if u dont use fantastic oil its better as it doesnt get as degraded.
I got mine done for £130 parts and labour. Get it done mate. Dont put it off mate. If it snaps its rebuild time. U can vouch for that can;t u Craig ;). Still it gave u the oportunity to have some major tuning done.
