1. under the bonnet on the Slam panel

Problems like theses are hard to find out.
It's best to test it when its not working. So one of the times it wont start see what's wrong. it's either going be not getting a spark or not getting its fuel.
From what I remember all the E-type engines down pipes where the same (front of engine)
Only changed when they changed to the D-type engines and moved the exhaust to the back
How long has it been like this.
Nearly every time i change a head gasket i touch the exhaust with my dirty gloves and has to burn the oil off.
also could be an Oil Breather not been put back on.
O Nuts, :(
I am a member on there but have never paid for the member ship as I didn't see a point in paying for 3 Clio sites.
I might have to move over to there if its more Mk1-ish :)
All depends if its a 'Battery Charger' or a 'boost pack.'
A battery charger wouldn't 'jump' the battery it will just charge it over time.
A boost pack will act as another batter so the car can be jumped.
Does any one know the maximum bow using a feeler gauge for the cylinder head on a 1.4 E-type engine. Is it 0.09MM ? or 0.05MM Or some thing else lol.
Cheers.
