Just had a look at your previous posts, seems your issue is a little different to mine, mine doesn't go into limp mode and performance / economy doesn't seem to be affected at all.
Just wondering if its worth me trying to "reset" the ecu to clear the light and see if it comes on again (if its...
My engine management light came on Saturday (the emissions light I believe on the right hand side). I understand its usually a coil pack / 02 sensor of some sort but the car is running perfectly, starts well hot or cold and returned 44mpg on a steady motorway drive back from Lancaster, part way...
Yeah I will do mate we've only got one car so had to get something we could both use. Having it machine polished tomorrow so will get pics up then. Got some Turini's coming a week today.
Yes mate Als beemer went on friday so went and bought one.
Leddo was trying to sell me your and i was dead keen but i have to share it with the GF and she wont drive one because its got no ABS lol
Looks good in the ad though you shouldn't have a problem shifting it!
I bought my 2005 FF 182 with both cup packs in RB for £3100, its done 72k but has had the belts and dephaser done aswell as a FSH all straight just a bit grubby inside, so i think £3k sounds a little dear to me (but i'm no expert)
Well they started making 182's in 2004 so its 3 years older (or if you count the ph2 172 which is essentially the same design then that takes it back to 2002 and technology has moved on in 5 years so i wouldnt say its a fair comparison - the 197 would be fair as a direct comparison to a corsa...
Perhaps a comparison to an Astra or a Type R isnt a fair comparison as they are much bigger cars but compare it to a fiesta then its no more expensive to run that say a fiesta ST, but with much better performance and look how much people are asking for the equivalent ST (also look at the piss...
Agreed - there are a lot of shitters out there which bring down the prices of decent ones. I just sold my GF's BMW for her (immaculate 2 owner car) and had no end of people ringing me and telling me they'd seen newer ones with less miles for less money etc and trying to get us to knock £750 off...
Disagree with this, ok cambelt isn't cheap, but its a once in 5 year job, tax is (slightly) cheaper than CTRs, VXR etc, they are good on fuel (for a hot hatch) and insurance is a lot cheaper than for cars of similar performance (infact a lot cheaper than the 1.8 BMW compact i had insured before it.)
No one on here seems to be giving them away! Just look at the price difference between those on pistonheads and those on autotrader.
Civics and Minis aren't affected in the same way because they hold there money better - probably down to the fact they don't start falling apart after 50k :rasp...
Sounds fine to me, personally I'd never buy accident repaired as they are a nightmare to pass on and I don't like the idea of not knowing the damage/ quality of repair (as anyone can say "oh it only needed a few scratches spraying") but if its had a full respray at a Renault garage then I...

Would the middle bit fit into my 182 gear knob as mines worn out :(
Ben
As title really. I'm getting some turinis from a 172 cup for my 182, will I need different bolts (have standard 182 alloys atm) or are they the same?
Cheers
Ben
Yeah i've seen the marks on the door and thought they are pretty minor so will touch them in for now and get it sorted properly if and when i get round to it! I'm going to leave the belts for now, as I really don't see the problem re-using 2K old belts and I don't do many miles so they'll be...
I went to see this Friday and took it home with me. I was very impressed with the paintwork on it tbh, was pretty much perfect apart from a few stone chips and the chips on the door, all looks the same colour to me! It definitely goes alright and had a huge amount of paperwork with it. I wasn't...
I went to have a look at a 182 at a main dealer last week that was due a cambelt and they quoted my £590 for a cambelt change, so that £790 seems a bit steep. Unless thats cambelt, auxilary belt and de phaser pulley aswell?
