Was sitting in the Shell garage getting fuel to burn!!

On Saturday about 1ish. I was driving towards the city centre through Gilmerton. Spotted coming the other way, Mk2 Dark blue (think Ph1 and non-RS) with some kind of kit on it and being driven by a blonde burd.

Was it green by any chance? I've seen one like that about Leith area but in dark green.

Is it just me or are those wheels a bit small for being on a 172? They don't look like the size of the Mk2 172 wheels over here?

The guy who had it before me and basically spunked the cash on it to make it look like that put in a 172 interior (seats are still RSi standards tho) so I guess the gearknob could be a 172 bad boy. I've since changed it to a nice carbon/silver mesh one and it wasn't too hard to change. Just...

That looks like the bad boy. I just saw it on passing along Seafield Road and just assumed it was the Carzone kit which houses the quad exhaust, glad its not!

Sitting across the road and down a wee bit from the servicing/workshop of Renault Reg Vardy. Dark Blue full body kit and V6 rally spoiler, think it may have been the Carzone kit with the quad exhaust. Door bump strips painted silver and large 5 spoke silver alloys, 17's by the look of them.

Try topping up the power steering fluid. Mine makes a a helluva noise when turning if the levels get low, especially when I start the beast up in the morning!!

In the car park at the sports centre last night. One Ph2 Black 172 with 172 cup wheels on it. The other a black 182 with anthracite wheels on it I think, doing a circuit of the car park then heading off.

It was a metallic '172 Cup' blue with silver wheels, it was turning off right as I spotted it so have no idea what the plate was.

Parked near Cessnock underground on Saturday afternoon. Blue 172 Cup it looked like with the cup wheels but had the twin 182 exhaust so not sure if it was a 182 with the cup wheels or just a 172 cup with 182 exhaust. Nice an shiny tho.

Those Toyos are rank rotten, especially in the wet, worse than Yoko A539's and thats saying something! I've had both on 17's, currently running the Toyos on the rear due to a supplier mix up and I had no choice but to put them on at the time, got them half price though! Hankook Ventus Sports...

Spotted last night, 5.45pm, coming from Constitution St through the traffic lights heading up Leith Walk. Silver Mk1 172, pretty low and lexus rears. Standard Wheels I think but I was along Duke St so it kinda flashed across my path me pretty quick.

Mines one of the last Ph1 Rsi's, its a 2001 Y plate. But the guy who had mine before me did some engine mods so maybe the cover was part of that.

Thats what my engine cover looks like and I have a Mk2 Ph1 RSi. Is that not standard on the Mk2 Ph1's?

Spotted last night, around 6.45pm. Heading on to Princes Street from the east end. Clean looking motor, W-reg, nice multi-spoke alloys, probably 17s, and with lexus rear clusters.
