Have a lighter left foot ;)
You'll find they just have a quick look, and guess, i've had it before, come to change pads that Renualt said were almost out and there was loads of meta left on them.
Don't forget the inner pad on a sliding caliper system wears quicker then the outer pad.
When...
Need cable, some form of securing the battery where ever you wanna relocate it to, a junction box, i'd put a fuse inline just after the +ve comes off the battery.
As for a kill switch you need to do some research as you can't just fit a switch as you'll find alternator will keep the engine...
Go under the car and remove the heat sheild that sits just behind the cat above th exhaust centre section, here you'll see teh 2 hand brake cables going to a Y piece with a couple of nuts on a bit of threaded bar attached to the underside of the hand brake.
Adjust these nuts, but make sure you...
I fucked the input shaft on my box and stripped most of the spring lever things off the pressure plate on an old punto run around by ignoring it, only drove it for 1-2 weeks too lol
The JC5 129 was from the mk1 172 and the cups iirc, the ones with the mechanical speedo, probabily easier to ahve a look at teh arse end of tyhe box and see if there is a speedo cable there
Nowt wrong with Draper Expert, both my socket sets are Expert and i give my tools some abuse, plus s**t loads of other Draper expert tools, dont' touch the normal range tho
I've been told by so so many people that for the mk1 renaults only genuine cable last and that the others are the wrong length, i've only ever had one renault cable on mine and it lasted just as long as the others, and all the others fit perfectly, just goes to show you that so so many people...
Don't get a 1.8 16v conversion, will cost you s**t loads to insure as its a conversion, just get a 1.8 16v, its a better modding base and if you look hard you can get a decetn example for under £1k.
The mk1 clio diesel box is a stronger box (JC5), but the ratios are piss poor for a petrol car...
Only thing is 90% of the time the teeth have broken, best bet is to remove alternartor bolts whihc gives you just enough room to get belt on and off and then lever alternator back out to re tension belt, usually works and easier than f**king about adjusting tension too
Better than having a round bubble car, seriously the mk2 clios couldn't look any gayer.
I've driven a valver, tehre f**k all there under 2-3k revs, like driving a turbo or a v-tec.....shite lol
Might have broken something on the pedal assembly.
The above about pattern part cables is complete and utter bullshit, i've had cables from Renault, GSF, Halfords, local motor spares place and all have fitted fine, infact if anything the Halfords one lasted the longest
You need a decent air feed to it, or fit a valver bonnet whihc will increase the air flow past the filter.
if the filter was 2nd hand did you clean it?
You are noticing a lack in power cus its sat on the top of the engine and sucking all the hot air in, you'd have been better off with a...
