i tried to find pics of a silencer the other day and read up about how it worked, could only find images of back boxes though. i guess then yes, the silencer is pretty much straight through. seen a cat before, hmm crunchie bar
i was thinking about this the other day.
we remove the cat because it's a restriction. is the centre silencer also restrictive? if so, why not remove this instead of the cat? would be less hassle at mot time.
genuine question, i'm sure the answer is out there...
and it's probably that the...
mine use to be quite good when cold, then all of a sudden got lumpy. i'm sure over winter it was fine then started getting lumpy as the weather got warmer. it's fine after a mile or so though.
wtf @ someone trimming down a 7pk belt, that was an accident waiting to happen, glad you got it sorted. i came from a vauxhall too. timing belt was bad on that, had to remove a lower engine mount to route it properly. cambelt on the other hand was a piece of cake- a £5 draper cam locking tool...
cool.
any suggestions for sourcing some 195/50/15?
most places seem to be just under £50 a corner fitted. seems alot. last time i bought tyres that size they were around £30 a corner! for toyos too.
i've got an option to get hold of some team dynamic tornados in white with 195/50/15 for £180...
cheers all, i think paisley is winning this one. two parcels come out only about 40p cheaper than paisley. paisley also offer £10 insurance per kg, so 50-60kgs is plenty of cover
12kg? that makes the tyres 5kg each, i'd be surprised if they were that, but i've been surprised before, like when my mate used his knob to tap me on the shoulder
6kg, quite a difference from 10kg!
this is what i bought:

in the second pic you can see the tread pattern, hopefully someone will know what this is, i'm going to google it now
just come across this
http://www.miata.net/faq/tire_weights.html
which lists 195/50/15 between 17-20, which i assume is pounds, so i guess a safe bet is that the tyres weigh 10kg each.
sound good?
ok, didn't know that would make a difference, figured they would all weigh around the same. short answer= i don't know. i'm trying to arrange a courier to pick them up. seller tells me they weigh 6.9kgs each, but he's obviously gone on the internet and got the bare alloy weight. i've gone back...
depends on application. oem wishbone bushes can't be bought on their own, you need to buy the complete wishbone from renault for £75 (x2) (but comes with ball joint too). you could try getting aftermarket wishbone bushes on ebay but this is likely a false economy. powerflex wishbones bushes need...
took me ages to find this once.
it's on the bottom of kam racings product page

i've seen some 15" tornados, they're like a love child between turinis and pro-race 1.2.

fortunately they're not multi fit
lmao l was just looking at that thread and it just didn't register. muppet. that pic with the black alloys, do you have one of those with white alloys? what susp you got?
i'm mulling over my suspension. i can't stretch to decent coilovers, and as cheap coilovers are prob no good, springs it is. just got to decide on more suited shocks or originals
sorry for hijacking your thread. again.
i have a basic routine but a bit short. any advice on another step or two i can throw in. afraid it's all halfords finest.
autoglym shampoo (body conditioner?)
megs clay bar
wash again
srp
hd wax
also i wouldn't mind giving it a slightly deeper darker...
i ditched it but put it back in. didn't fancy it for a daily driver, i found it as difficult as steering with broken power steering. probably a good mod for a track car or weekend toy.
