first time i disconnected my throttle body and refitted, the idle hunted up and down for a couple of days between 750 and 1500 before settling. hopefully will sort itself out.
some places (i think mot centres?) have a station they can put the car on that simulates driving on bumpy roads etc
can't for the life of me think what they're called, but if you can find one of these places it would be easy to diagnose
what you should do is ebay it as a classified. nobody can bid, they just contact you if they're interested. i learned the hard way. fecking non paying messers.

if it were me i'd get that auction cancelled, saves...
chances are it's the pulley on your power steering pump working itself lose. had this the other day, my fault for trying to do the three pulley bolts up with a tiny 10mm spanner instead of a socket wrench. could have been expensive. so if there's a woody sound from your engine, check these bolts...
thought i'd post this. i had a flat spot at 5.5-6k rpm. didn't really bother me as i have a habit of changing up before then. not anymore! turns out they had bosch's finest spark plugs in there, whipped them out for some proper ngk ones, flat spot gone. mpg up. hth.
well, having swapped the front and rear tyres over this evening it appears the problem has gone! car drove completely differently, and in a good way, didn't pull left or right, except for the very very slight pull to the left you get as standard on some roads. some times it still felt a little...
yeah my old one was like that which is why i replaced it. i'm sure i heard that once they start leaking, if they're not changed out they eventually kill the pump, and i just fitted a new (rebuilt) pump!
i'm sure i could get it changed or refunded, if it's fubar'd. no ptfe. it's leaking from the inside, you can only see the leak when you pull the plug- would ptfe have any effect on this?
fred- i was hoping you would chime in on my "leaking after 1 month pas sensor" thread. i got a new genuine renault pas sensor from a shop seller on ebay, it's leaking a little from inside after a month. normal or faulty?
1.2 ones are too short. i picked up another pattern tie rod and it's nice and tight. we'll see how good it is in 6 months time, but these pattern parts are built to a real budget
they need tyres too, and a refurb, so i'd be looking at alot more than a second hand set would cost me on ebay :) i've seen pro race 1.2's with tyres go for less than £200
i'll start. found this, look like 16" oz superleggeras
thinking about it, i dont want to sacrifice what little ride quality there is. can i go low enough for aftermarket alloys and still maintain ride quality?
hi, pics wanted. looking at different alloys for my car. 15 or 16s. looking to go anthracite or black. at the moment the best ones i've seen are turinis (R14CUP looks awesome with gunmetal turinis) or Oz F1's in a dark colour. but this is all i can find, no pics of clios with 7 spoke alloys for...
it's not overly bothering at the moment, not as much as my one month old pas sensor that leaks!
it's got a 12 month unlimited mileage guarantee so hopefully covered for unhappy eventualities
i like the dirty look i get when i pull into a p&c bay in my hot hatch. got rear tints so no-one can see in the back.
then i proceed to release a train of children :)
priming? i turned it lock to lock with the engine off, then again as soon as i fired her up and continued to do so.
the sound starts off audible, then disappears after about 30 second to a feint sound you sometimes here when going slowly around a roundabout, and usually when i get to my...
