it was sold, then the sale fell through, at this rate ill be keeping it, lol!
its just sat there in the garage atm so im just spending time tinkering and tidying up little bits that i can.
ok, the search function is there, but heres a run down:
172 Cup only in Mondial Blue (last few availible in Iceberg Silver, pretty rare)
172 Cup 120KG lighter than FF
172 Cup 10mm Wider track front and rear
172 Cup (allegedly) 5mm lower, but this means nothing due to low spring tolerances.
172...
thats how ive always understood it.
the difference between where it bolts to the hub, and the edge of the wheel, or something like that.
the 'stickyoutyness' essentially.
and c) severing someones limbs is very illegal, quite painful, and frankly uncalled for.
yeah i take ur point the driver is the main factor, my 172 was always capable of far more than I am, as is my williams, i never 'really' push to the limit cuz i dont like the idea of finding where that...

172 cup = 168bhp/ton (1021kg)
197 R27 = 161bhp/ton (1240kg)
plus weve got to remember that r27's arent making 197bhp, whereas alot of 172 cups are hitting 175 bhp, which would skew those figures a bit more.
well the 172 has the advantage in power to wieght ratio, plus has slightly longer gearing, where as the r27 has the grip advantage.
i maintain thered be nothing in it though, i just cant see how a 197 qould be quicker round a track.
no theres no juddering.
as i understand it, theres sensors on the front and back wheels, and it detacts when the front wheels are spinning up alot quicker than the back ones, then cuts one or more spark plugs (thats how it was explained to me anyway).
this is what it says about the system on...
for those interested in how it works;
1. Turns it on/off
2. Dry/Wet Setting, bout 12-15 clicks between each so u can adjust how much it intervenes.
Even in the pouring rain, on full wet setting you can just floor in and it pulls nicely with no spin.
Just a personal victory for me really. Ever since my clutch cable was first changed, the racelogic traction control on my willy hasnt worked, the guy unplugged the battery and ever since its been dead.
So on friday i had the racelogic box out (located behind the washer fluid bottle), cleaned...
