    My New Volvo 850 T5

I’d forgotten how traction limited they are

    My New Volvo 850 T5

That exhaust that’s on it now is decidedly non-standard, wonder what it is? Looks a bit gash with those twin tailpipes IMO. I enjoyed the BSR one I had on mine, nice noise without droning. You’re going to get a proper drainpipe on it, aren’t you? ;)

    My New Volvo 850 T5

That's fighting talk @Panda. ;) Titans are nice, for sure, but they're not all that. Better than Volans though. And of course on a tighter budget everyone wanted the Perfo instead of the Columba because you could get the bigger discs under them for an easy brake upgrade. Ah, happy days. Bit...

Project Binky - mini 4x4 turbo celica engine

Enjoying the new vid about the conversion of an old library bus into a track car transporter. Some properly heavyweight stuff bolted onto that old shed! Hopefully we still get to see Binky 100% completed and given a good run sometime this year :ROFLMAO:

    My New Volvo 850 T5

Love a set of Comets, they are by far the best wheels for an 850 IMO. It will look great with a bit of a drop, here's my old one on Eibachs and Comets. If that shows one thing, it's that mobile phone cameras have come a long, long way in twelve years :D Can you still get polybushes for the...

    5G rollout

The reality of 5G will be very different to what people are used to in terms of coverage. The problem is that the frequencies it uses are much worse at penetrating objects - walls, trees, people, hills, whatever - than the older technology. It's those frequencies which bring with them the high...

    My New Volvo 850 T5

Still miss mine to this day, finding a good one is getting quite tricky now. Nice one (y) Needs boot spoiler though :)

Age is just a number. The older you get, the truer you hope that is ?

WHAT CHIP AND WHERE TO GET IT FROM

Yeah, the rear one is to check on catalyst efficiency and throw a warning if more crud is getting through the emissions control system than it should.

Need help with resistor wiring for Renault sport seats in a 1.2 with no air bags in the seat!

If the old seats don’t have airbags in them then is there actually an airbag connection on the car side which needs resistors adding? I guess this is actually the seatbelt pretensioners which the car is being fooled into thinking are still connected? If it is then I’d get the wiring done...

    Sniper Elite 4

I don’t really do much multiplayer TBH, used to play WoW for years and had my fill of dealing with other players through that - also, I’m a bit s**t at FPS games ;)

    Sniper Elite 4

Finally finished the game! 19 hours of play without trying to complete all the objectives etc, think I might pick up some of the DLC, really enjoyed it. I don't get anywhere near enough time to game these days ?

Project Binky - mini 4x4 turbo celica engine

Good advertisement for their business too, I imagine. Would be quite happy to have those guys working on my car, although maybe not if I was having to pay for that level of obsessive detail at commercial rates ?

Arlo security- cams talk to me!

I've got two separate Arlo setups, one with two cameras running in a remote location with no fixed internet over a 4G modem and one with four cameras at home. All the cams are the first generation wireless ones. They're very good from the ease of use and setup point of view, but do have their...

The Power PC Thread [f*ck off consoles]

I’m loving it. I’m so impressed with the sense of immersion, gives me a buzz but I haven’t had from games in years. Yes, it’s a bit clunky and heavy, the screen door is visible if you look for it, generally it feels like a version 1.0. However, I can see myself getting a lot of use out of it...

Anyone know much about the current state of Hi-Fi separates?

Awesome, that sort of stuff is just the ticket, ta.

The Power PC Thread [f*ck off consoles]

Well, they have dropped the price of the rift to 350 until the 26th so that was enough of a push for me to give it a go. One Marvel special edition set ordered...... If I don’t get on with it I ordered from Amazon so easy to return.

Anyone know much about the current state of Hi-Fi separates?

Could do, but TBH I'd rather just upgrade the speakers, they're budget starter bookshelf jobs hooked up to some decent mid-range components. I just got a suitable cable to dump my Logitech 5.1 system I had hooked up to the PC for donkeys years and run it through the separates system instead...

Anyone know much about the current state of Hi-Fi separates?

I suddenly remembered this thread, I have no idea why. I ended up with a bunch of used/refurbished hi-fi gear for not a lot of money. Cambridge Audio Azur 651A Amp and matching Azur 615C CD player, a Yamaha KX-580 tape deck and some Wharfedale bookshelf speakers. It sounds amazing, the only...

The Power PC Thread [f*ck off consoles]

IMO the hardware is too expensive to get mass market adoption and there’s no killer app, you need to be really interested in the concept to buy in at the moment. Plus it’s really not a good look. On the other hand, Elite: Dangerous and Star Trek Bridge Crew? Yeah, gimme some of that. :D

The Power PC Thread [f*ck off consoles]

Anyone got an Oculus Rift? Any thoughts on it? A mate has just got one and is raving about it, seriously tempted. Oculus are apparently going to knock $50 off in the states for Black Friday so if they do the same in the UK that could be the tipping point for me......

    Volvo 940 TDIC Project

I’m absolutely positive the mondeo will be the better car in every way. I’d still keep the Volvo :) Oh and on the DPF stuff it’s changed - apart from the visual test they’ve tightened up the smoke test so a car that should have a DPF but doesn’t is very likey to fail. Lot of cars getting...

    MarkCup's BMW M140i

Fair play. I’m not into all this tribal bull with cars either, especially in such a crowded and competitive part of the market it comes down to what your own experience leads you to prefer at that point. Looking forward to seeing how the not-an-Mcar-honest works out for you.

    Buying cat c

Unless you can see pics of the damage you just never know, also if it was related to the crash structure in any way has it been bodged back together with the cheapest pattern parts? I think you were wise to walk away TBH.
