We have options available for the F4R 830 cars upto 270bhp Naturally Aspirated. We've done an awful lot of X85 and C85 Clio Cup/R3 Rally cars over the past couple of years with our 225PS engine package comprising of cams and port throttles kit with EC1 engine control, oddly this makes about 12PS...
If it's running on 3 it's unlikely to be coil pack as it's a wasted spark setup. I've seen two with a duff injector in as many weeks so worth measuring the resistance of the injectors to check they all match and one doesnt have a duff coil.
See what http://www.worldsaparts.co.uk/ can do you one for, you may have to phone if it's not on the site.
If the front is working/switching as per spec then there is no point changing it unless you have some money you don't want. If it's slow to switch then you may as well change it whilst...
Sell it on e-bay and run the standard airbox or a Phase 1 airbox if you want something with technicaly lower losses. If you just want noise drill some 10mm holes in the pre filter side of the standard airbox.
I'll stick a post in our traders section as soon as they're launched. End of this month is the aim and I doubt we'll miss it as there's time in the diary as it stands.
If we go short rad, no air-con and hang the trumpets out under the slam panel and over the rad I can find a few more but it makes it a lot less road car!
[Blind Date] The decision..... is yours![/Blind Date] :)
And it's Mutha Vin Diesel Fast And Furious Fuc*in crinkle finish as well!! ;)
Seriously though I'm not going to manage 220 beans from it. 215 flat chat I reckon but probably 210 - 212bhp.
We're only up the M11 from you so if you can get it to us we'll have a quick shufty for free and let you know if it's going to be a quick fix or an in depth one. It's 98% not the ECU as it takes an awful lot to kill one and if its powering up and attempting to run the engine it's probably fine!
Our ones. They'll be released with pre and posts on our dev 182 along with the usual info but as I'm sure understand I'm not going to post complete profile details on a public forum or everyone will be banging them out by next week!
Re: Bomber's Savage Supercharged Snorting Slut of a Ph1
I'm looking forward to calibrating this, should see 250 beans easy! Bomber do you promise the crank pulley will stay put for me? ;)
Your car is a bit of a Freak though Dave!!!! It's one of the strongest none port throttled cars I've ever seen :)
Generally 188 - 190bhp on 428's with matched inlets and no aircon compressor is about right.
If you still intend to run a pressure based plenum setup via the stock ECU then it's going to be quite unpleasant.
We're just finalising our cam profiles at the moment but will have two options on the market by the end of this month at circa £420 + VAT a pair machine from a billet.
Emerald will work, use the "Shiftlight" output to drive the VVT as it's only a ground side switch. 60-2 on the Clio flywheel isn't conventional 60-2 as such as it has a large double tooth reference after the gap but assuming you have the later Emerald software it'll work with a bit of playing...
Then coil pack mount, throttle pedal, throttle pedal mount, throttle cable, engine control solution, loom work, calibration, filtration solution, CAN work to avoid a dash full of MILs and a few other bits and bobs...... Simples ;)
+ 30bhp'ish on average. It depends on the health of the stock engine which is why we'll always dyno and comp test a car before starting any work so we know where we are starting from! Having said that Jay and Tonys scrap yard race engine is down 2 bar on one cyl and still makes 197bhp on our...
