inlets = matching/polishing the bores between the inlet manifold and inlet plenum.. less turbulent air - faster flow - more power..
have a look on the angleworks website, ben is meant to be the best at this type of work..

seriously it is a really easy job.. i've done 3 gearboxes in k4m's now and i guess the 172 aint any different..
as soon as you look at the driveshaft you'll know if the roller bearings are fecked!
i know but i have a long drive after work 2 moro... gonna fire it into the garage for them to do, will be cheaper than me loosing out on a days wages!
i knew i should have done them when a done ma bearings like 4k ago!
basically ma rear cylinder just went pop.. while racing which was rather sketchy.. anyway, clio is home in one piece..

get it from gsf then.. buy a haynes manual.
all ye gotta do is take the hub nut off, split the hub/strut take out the 3 10mm bolts holding the gaitor to the box and catch the oil.
Get the shaft out and replace with new one, tighten the bolts. locate the spline into hub and fire the bolts to...
yup, just before the limiter cos then your at slightly higher revs for the next gear and into the power band of that gear quicker!
If you hit the limiter before the clutch goes down it will slow you down a lot! I dont know this because i've never hit mine... Honest!
