my steelies are going black with a 1 inch wide stripe from centre to edge in artic blue, just for track use really i know steelies are not ideal for that but only every now and then.
not sure if the design of the steelies will suit the diff colour rim but worth a shot its only going to cost a...
i retract my previous point about mintex pads, after 3 months finally managed to get a few free hours on a country road and they suck.
they faded prob only a few corners after my originals would have, think im going to have to put my money where mouth is and get some ferodo ds2500 before a...
looks like someoe spent a few quid on it though to go the extra expense of having engine cover done as well.
you may find some other slight mods done over time, maybe brakes etc considering its had a custom paint job and 182 look-a-like exhaust.
looked very nice mate really stands out in white. i was daydreaming or would have waved myself.
im back in lancaster next week with the missus on a night, any good restaurants in the centre you would recommend (its our 2 year wedding anniversary) and fancied a change from manchester.
picked up a set of 15" steel wheels very cheap with tyres (which i plan on binning) and am having them sprayed and intend to use for track day mostly, my car is arctic blue 182 ff 16" rubber is quite expensive.
they are from a late 2005 car so are in good nick just deciding on a colour to have...
I didnt have best view but looked like a 182 but in white looked the part, i assume aftermarket respray or import? looked very tidy i was in the srtic blue going other way/
was actually on way to pick up some 15" track day wheels.
anyone know it?
yeah i have read many positive reviews about henks work i was just really seeing if anyone has a before and after rr test (i know they can be tweaked by operator and are not gospel) but just curious if anyone has used rstuning before and after rr result and if so what kind of gains did they get.
considering it for a while, i am aware of all the usual places Rs tuning, henk, k-tec,superchips etc
loads of remap threads over last year or so but i havnt seen any post up before and after 1*2 results.
anyone have any? i know were only looking at a few bhp and few extra lbt torque.
thanks
could the box not be twisted to have the air intake on offisde headlight side where the std setup takes its feeds from?
although thinking about it there isnt much room down behind the headlight so maybe the 64mm pipe wouldnt go down there.
i like it and looks good.
what kind of handling diff does the harder compound over the medium give. i would have guessed the med compound would heat up quicker but wear quicker.
would the harder compound last a lot longer and will the temps get up on a road car being used on track? i have never used r888 so am just...
i also would use birchdown again, they fitted my brakes and my aux belt for me, great lads and really know their stuff. (had my aux belt alongwith idler etc fitted earlier than my 36k service but was at 3 years old nearly)
i do loads of research before using garages (my brother been in the...
yeah you will get quite a few days assuming its on good tracks, use them on some airfield travk days though and they will be a real mess.
camskills are cheap and also mat from shed motorsport is a member on here he is selling sets cheap.
i think someone said on here a while ago the rears dont go to the caliper they fit further down the lines under rear beam. the rears replace them mate.
i had mine fitted at birchdown services in the north west when having some other brake upgrades done.
have just pm you mate before i saw this with the part numbers.
gsf ref number R60139 , part number 7701-207-829 and they were £55 + vat
they had them in stock and are 280mm
mark you posted while i was typing (i drinking beer and watching tele so took me a while) but glad to see more similar comments, especially from someone with the amount of trackday hours under your belt. seen a few of your vids and i admit to clenching a few times. good work.
front brace really does nothing mate, it drills into the front suspension its only as strong as your self tappers, i have used them on previous cars which have bolts exposed on the turret but on the clio your just boting it through the metal wing. i wouldnt bother with a front brace on a track...
i am also just over 6ft and would love the seat to drop maybe an inch.
i only really notice how high the seats are when i jump into it from another car.
would you feel comfortable buying a car from someone with spelling issues on that scale?
i know some people have said give the lad a break but is this more a comment on the current level of school education than anything else.
i would always pick a well written and accurate advert than one...
some good advice and i see your reason why your planning on doing this.
15 inch alloys as much more choice of track day rubber at good prices, shed motorsport can sort some good deals on r888 at the moment.
uprate front brakes, brembo discs (hc or max) ds2500 pads, stainless steel hoses and...
its been on now about 13 months and done about 15k that was at between 5k-6k a bit higher than they normally do the rev db test at but at least i know and didnt cost anything oulton park just did it while i was there in another car.
just for info for anyone with the above and considering track days or just curious.
btb system 98db with cat in place according to he original advert.
had mine tested yesterday with a yozza de-cat and was measured at 100db at peak.
