Changed my engine and put everything back together. Went to drive the car and it won't go into gear only reverse, even then it just grinds and doesn't engage. I have tried the method of putting both the gear selector on the box and gear knob in reverse and it still didn't work

I assume the keyless works from the ECU and not the receivers in the door. So straight forward swap should work with no issues. ] Leave the car unlocked and disconnect the battery and I believe the keyless may have to be re-sync'd after.
