my fronts and rears were ready for changing after 9k, thats without a front to back swap! What can i say, i like to drive her hard! To be honest the fronts were only just legal, and the rears had less than a 1k left on them, so i just decided to go for 4 new ones.
I went for Uniroyal...
Im thinking about getting an Ice link for my 172 from http://www.ghc.co.uk/icelink/http://www.ghc.co.uk/icelink/
Does seem like the best option. My mates getting one for his mini cooper S, so ill wait and see how his goes before i do get one. Would be interested to hear of anyone thats got one...
172s have a Green change light on the bottom right hand side, its in the shape of a gearstick, comes on just before the limiter. Would have thought the 182 would be the same. Its a case of blink and youll miss it. Dont tend to notice mine so much.

Its a pity we never heard anything back from the Brazilian guys that came on here first and told us about it. It be interesting to hear how the clios theyve turbod are holding up, must be getting on to a year or so since they had it done. Wonder if they are still in one piece or are a lump of...
if its a head on bump its not so bad, but have a side or front/side collision and this will warp the whole car, as it distributes the forces across the brace.
Isnt a Clio a bit inconnvient for carrying Skis around?
One thing that worries me about strut braces is that if some one bumps into you, the strut brace transmits the damage across the car, so can do a lot more damage than the little shunt would normally do. You can end up twisting the...
i was thinking of getting a mrk 1, but in the end i stretched to a cup. I really like the look of the mrk 1 and i know there are a lot of people on here that reckon they are the mutts nutts! Am i right in thinking they were slightly quicker to 60? I do remember reading reviews that when the...
mine were almost illegal on the front and not far off on the back by 8,500, changed to Uniroyal Rainsports. think ill save up and get some PE2s next time
Welcome and congratulations on a fab little car, ive now 8,000 miles in mine (its on 12,000 now, got it at 4k) and its faster now than it was when i got it. The engine seems to bed in after a few thousand.

cant you sign up to 192? i think you get a few free search credits then it lets you search by name and area, i did it when i got scammed on ebay.

PS i agree with above, dont think its a coincidence.
hahaha, seriously, how long do you think youll be able to take it easy in a 172? Its not a car that likes being driven slowly, and the amount of people that will be up your arse goading you to go faster will just encourage you. Theres a lot of people that have had fast first cars with the...
Am i the only one that doesnt want a 4wd turbo jap car? Id much rather have a well looked after intergrale than a scoobitsi type car. Dont know why but i feel that scoobs and evos dont have as much "soul". They are all fly by wire and from what ive heard youve got to be going REALLY fast to feel...
Yeah, but a quads even less practical than a 7! Plus they dont corner that well and i wouldnt want to be on on in an accident!
Quads are ok on grass as you can easily get the back end out around corners, but on tarmac theyd grip like f**k and because they dont have a wide base and you sit...
