For those of you who were asking about the possibility of a Megane 225 Cup here is what Autocar say.
Taken From the latest Issue of Autocar, Page 19 (June 1-7 2004)
"Renault is weighing up a new faster, lighter Cup version of the Megane to sit above the turbocharged Renaultsport 225.

I was caining it along countries roads with a 2l Vectra behind me, it was fairly straight for a fair way and he was behind me, not really close, but close enough to show he was keeping up. Anyhow, we got to a sharp, tight S bend going up a hill, drop it into 2nd before i go around the first...
Not sure how the car can be a better earthed route than you. Surely the rubber on your shoes is a lot thinner than the rubber on your tyres, and seeing as these are the only things that touch the ground on a car id have thought the charge passes through you to the ground, not your car to the...
I know the v6 is mid rear, but thought with front rear it would give a better weight split between front and rear. Im not going to do this, just was interested thats all.
Hi everyone,
As the title suggests, just wanted to ask a few of the more mechanically minded people what sort of work would go in to converting a hot hatch (in this case a Clio) to RWD. Im not planning on doing this, but Im just interested to know how much work would be involved.
Also what...
^^^^^ hahahaha (at dogmaul), was it like that scene in demolition man, where the car fills up with foam after an accident and solidifies?

Thats what it does, you can by other transmitters, but that one was designed for the Ipod.
Yeah, there may be some quality loss, but it will be as good as a radio broadcast by the bbc or something similar id guess. Ive never used a transmitter, but ive heard there pretty good. Id guess in a...

I was gonna ask this exact same question! I have a stupidly huge exhaust on my clio at the mo, thanks to the previous owner, and wanted to put an original exhaust back on, but i think i would miss the deep roar of this one, so was thinking about a stealth exhaust. Would love to know what they...
Ive got Uniroyals, wasnt impressed with them at first, but think that was because they were new. Anyhow they seem pretty good now, after a few hundred miles, and they are a cheap tyre. Very impressed with them in the wet, which this country seems to be most of the time.

Just rung my local Ripspeed retailer in Leeds as im looking to get some pads off them, as the previous owner fitted the wrong size pads ive just been informed by renault.
Could anyone tell me which breaking system the 172 Cup (52 plate) uses? The Ripspeed dude said it was either Gerling...
Taken the Cup to Renault, to try and get them to sort out the break problem, in the fact that it dives to the right under breaking.
Theyve rung me up and told me that the wrong sized break pads had been put on, and this is what has caused the breaking problem. They wanted to charge me £114 to...
A guy at the garage i take my cars to has a WRX STi. I asked about fuel consumption and his face fell, apparently he filled his car up, did 80miles of very fast driving, and had to fill up again!
I used to have a 106 Rallye, and that had a problem that felt like it was hitting a limiter lower than usual. It turned out to be a faulty connection to the crank sensor. (im no mechanic, this is what the garage said at the time) It took them 3 weeks to find it! Luckily it was under warranty. I...
