Besides, the ones you've linked to are a standard OEM one, their version...
Well I fitted Hertz Deici 6.5" speakers into my doors & wasn't happy with the results as they sound too bright IMO. It's sensible to audition different ones if you are able to, unfortunately there's nowhere around here for me to do that.
What is your budget? If I were to change mine i'd just...
I used an old spare rear mount, and pushed a powerflex insert into it, secured with a couple of cable ties. Drilled a hole to mount 30minutes & start-finish had the new one in place. I think I have a spare rear mount if you want to do the same, will send it for the cost of postage.
They're quite soft IME, having tried them on two FWD & 4WD cars. I stick to less sticky/sporty ones now like Continental Premium Contacts.
When the T1-R came out, there was a general consensus amongst car clubs I was in, that it wasn't as good overall as the T1-S it replaced (IIRC).
IME in general (not with Clio boot looms specifically), you get two separate looms with connectors in the headlining/bootlid to connect them together, it's not one long loom.
Hmm - do you still need a fix? One of mine came loose so I was just going to drill out the old one and use a regular cheap blind rivet to replace it. Won't look quite the same but will do for me.
I tried using the clio... server yesterday - nobody was on it ! I guess you were all out enjoying the sunshine rather than being stuck indoors like me then...
Personally I do as well, there's only 1 fore/aft seat position which I find comfortable regarding steering wheel / gear-lever reach. I'm only a 5'7" short-arse though!
Will have another look then, still have the manual.
Will putting the sound-deadening help improve the woofers' performance? I've read that it should, but it looks like quite a bit of work to get the doors done even vaguely properly.
I'd like to rewire all the speaker wiring, bit annoying that...
The HU is an Alpine CDA-9833/5 (I forget which but they're basically the same)
From memory the Parrot intercepts the wiring loom & the HU essentially goes through the Parrot (when it's not on), doesn't it?
I don't recall there being the option in the installation manual to have it the other...
I've recently installed a pair of Hertz Dieci DSK 165 component speakers in the standard speaker locations.
Had to cut the door card back around the speaker & use MDF baffles to get the woofers to fit in there, but the baffles are securely held on the doorcard, and the speakers to them in turn...
I tried to find the split point in mine at the weekend, and gave up after 10mins with my head upside down under the dashboard - sorry!
In the end I just used the standard cable & snipped the connectors at the speaker, but the Hertz speakers I've got come with an inline crossover for each speaker...
6x9s + subwoofers = waste of money, chavving a car up. Sorry but it isn't the 90s anymore!
Plus, having speakers like that in the parcel shelf and a subwoofer in the boot is NOT a good combination - you'll probably knacker the 6x9s over time.
Just buy some sticky foam pads, double-sided ones will work (just don't remove the backing from one side), that's a better solution than using cotton wool!
Have you already bought the amp?
Go on Parrot's website and download the user manual for the one you've got, i'm fairly certain it has diagrams in it for different wiring options when using an amp.
Basically though, you'll be re-wiring quite a lot, yes! You can only send the music from the...
The lights probably aren't steamed up, the outer surface may just be pitted & needs polishing up. You can buy plastic headlight restoration kits with the bits needed for it.
Not sure how it compares, but PC World/Dixons have a sale on a few laptops at the moment, and although I don't believe the original RRPs they claim, there were a few reasonable ones around £300 in the sale.
Halfords sell an equivalent to that one linked to above, for about the same price - I think a lot of motor factors sell them too.
However, you'd still need a leak test and round here it's ~£60 for that + refill. They drain the old coolant out then refill with fresh, IIRC when they drain it they...
If you just want to listen to MP3s on your phone, and control it with you phone, etc - look into the Parrot MKi9200 http://www.parrot.com/uk/products/hands-free-car-kits/parrot-mki9200.
It's plug & play to fit inbetween the headunit speaker & power wiring looms, does MP3 over bluetooth, has a...
