Whats needed really is an elongated whole at the top of the shock for them to fit, looking at the FK coilover kit on ktec website the top bolt hole has this so mimagine they should fit????
Rory before I was gonna get the koni shocks fitted I wanted to eibach pro dampers to match the springs I have fitted bbpt ordered some for me which turned out they dont fit the 182 the holes were to small so not compatible for the 2.0litre version....
The angle of the bolt holes matter other...
Fred I cant wait for you to look into this, someone elses view on the whole issue.. I still dont feel convinced by my experiences because Ktec clearly lists it as being ok to fit them, thats why I went to 2 places.
Bbpt who I went to see first had my wheel off etc and measured the angles said...
My comments to this post is on 2 occasions ive tried to have the Koni 172 dampers fitted to my non cup 182 and both times it has come back as being different.
Both BBPT and Elite in essex have had a look at my 182 non cup and on both occasions have said they do not fit, same as BBPT non cup...
Open the boot and remove that big plastic bit at the bottom of boot with the handle.. 1 screw and the rest are just poppers then it should become a little clearer for you... Im guessing just unbolt everything then you could get at it...
Rob.
Apparently Koni are aware of the differences between the 172 and both 182 models... I have a non cupped 182 and have tried on 2 ocassions to get konis fitted.
The 2nd time around they contacted koni who said that 6 months they will be on sale, which it has been about that now, still havent...
At 23k ive had all plugs and leads replaced on my 182 because of water corrosion on 1 or some of the plugs, complete mystery??? Was misfiring all over the place, lights flashing the lot!
Fred ive heard loads about changing to the cable but what exactly has happened to the existing cable to make it perform like this?
My 182 does this also. Classic, fine when cold but as it gets driven it gets creaky/squeeky....
Rob.
Could be worth checking the condition of your plugs as well mate, had the this exact problem with my 182 a couple of weeks back, changed both plugs and leads...
I spose its just one of those common problems thats just happened to happen to you, which has been easily sorted...
As I said in your other post I had to have plugs and leads changed coz of a misfire which just came on all of a sudden on my 182 only done 23k I was not a happy man when I had to...
Ive just got my car back from Renault with the exhaust gas light on and the car was misfiring they said I had water contamintaion to the spark plugs and leads so I had to have all replaced at a over the top price of £258!!

stuart owned it from new I see what your saying was only a little water all electrical stuff was covered up should have been safe as I said spark plugs are out the way, im 99% certain its not my fault.......... Will just wait and see what they say, anyway pick my 182 up in the morning cant wait.
The spark plugs are tucked right away under the top of the engine block they say the only way to get water in there would be to pressure/steam wash the engine which I simply havent done
Matt black to clean my engine bay I used that auto gleam machine cleaner stuff, a paint brush and a hand held spray/mist bottle like what you get most cleaning products in..

They havent done the work yet so I havent payed anything! I just got the call this morning saying "the problem is that I have water contamination in my engine which has caused the spark plugs to corrode, you have obviously had the engine cleaned which has caused this so the bill is 258.17 vat...
My car has been in for a week and they have diagnosed the problem as spark plugs and leads.
The cause, they say is because I have cleaned my engine bay..... I went up to renault with a friend who is a mechanic to inspect the spark plugs which looking at 1 of them is very rusty and corroded...
Thanks Juanboy to be fair to Renault Dartford the tech (Matt) has always worked on my car and has always been spot as he also owns an RS so knows all the common probs etc..
