Keep it clean using a Jet Wash preferably hot. Dont use the brush, they scratch too. Polish it once a month and the sh*t just falls off at the Jet Wash. Wash under the arches as well after all the road salts been dumped everywhere. Drive home fast then just leather the last few drops...

I used instant gasket coz i dries harder than any other silicone. I suppose any will do the job though, i realise it sounds stoopid but honestly, it works well!!

I personally would get a 1/4 litre of paint from your friendly local paint shop and go and see a decent sprayer and ask them nicely to paint them for you. Take a piece off you car and get them to chip it in the shop, or preferably give them the paint code (3 numbers i think its 763) They...

Dog bone is easy to change - Look at the back of the engine from underneath, its near the exhaust pipe. Better off on a ramp though.

I have fitted a K and N Induction Kit and a Ktec Silenced decat to my 16v. Now its slower than ever, whats happened to the nail.

Just put a new dog bone stabiliser on my 16v. I know you can buy uprated ones but what i did was buy a standard renault one and squeeze silicone in to the voids in the big rubber. Leave in the warm overnight to cure then feel how much stiffer it is after (no puns please) . Tell you what...

I fitted one to mine last week mate. Made it tickover slower and i lost a bit of power and gained a lot of noise. If it sounds faster i want it to GO faster and it dont. Coming off this weekend. Original box and K+N Element going on.... Waste of money IMO.

I should imagine if its white it will be a solid. A good paint place should be able to tint the paint to match bang on if you take a sample in. Some paint shops cant be arsed though. Most solid colours are availible in basecoat as well, most new cars are COB system anyway. Maxims bang on...

Has anyone had to change the Dog Bone Stabiliser on there 16v. I need to do mine because it has a lot of movement on the gearstick when letting my foot off the throttle. Are they a cow to do or what? Does it help the problem?

Make sure they get a good paint match if they are just gonna spray the bonnet. Itll stand out a mile. White is a b**ch to match. Belive me, i work in a paint shop matey.
