Just got a cold call from AA Warranty (which I presume is from Renault giving them my details) regarding getting the mechanical and electrical faults with the car fixed. They didn't appear to know a great deal about me as I had to confirm almost everything.
It costs £50 excess and I've been...
I had the same problem and Renault didn't have a clue and told me there wasn't a problem...clearly there was as it was still going off all the time. Ended up replacing the alarm with a new Viper system, job done.
I've always like the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 but went with the PE2's for the 182.
Eagle F1's are a decent price as well - http://www.etyres.co.uk/car-tyres-uk/detail?productId=2275
Martin at Ren-o-tec will give you a car for the day if you need it and Mark Fish would drop you in town until he has done it.
For a service I would allow 1/2 a day at least, I usually leave mine and back for it the next day.
Mark Fish is in Harlow, I've had my 24k and 36k service done with him and I think the 48k service you need is the same as the 24k I had but I can't find the invoice for that at the moment.
Out of those John I'd go for the TomTom one v4 as I've used TomTom for years with no problems, always been really good.
Don't get the traffic versions unless your going for the Live HD ones as the cabled ones use technology that only really works from Classic FM and is useless in this country...
